Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

This policy explains what information BotGentz collects, how it is used, and what choices you have. It covers both the BotGentz website and store (botgentz.com) and the BotGentz browser extension.

Summary: The BotGentz extension does not read, log, or transmit your browsing history, page content, keystrokes, or personal communications. Scripts you write or install are stored locally in your own browser. The extension only contacts our servers to verify that a purchased or subscribed app is still valid. The BotGentz website separately collects the account and payment information needed to run a store — see below for details on each.

1. What BotGentz Is

BotGentz is a userscript manager: a browser extension that runs small scripts ("apps") you write yourself or install from the BotGentz store, on the specific websites you choose. The store (botgentz.com) is where you can browse, purchase, or subscribe to apps built by us or by other creators.

2. Information Collected by the Website and Store

Account information

If you create an account, we collect the information you provide, such as your name and email address. This is used to identify your account, deliver purchases, and communicate with you about your orders or subscriptions.

Payment information

Payments are processed by PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card number or PayPal login credentials. We do receive transaction confirmations (such as amount, date, and a transaction ID) and subscription status, which we use to activate and manage the apps you've purchased.

Purchase and subscription records

We keep a record of which apps you have purchased or subscribed to, and the status of each subscription, so that the extension can verify your entitlement to install and continue using those apps.

3. Information Collected by the Extension

DataWhere it livesSent to our servers?
Scripts you write or paste yourselfStored locally in your browser onlyNo

Install token or subscription key, used only when installing a purchased/subscribed app or checking that a subscription is still activeSent to our servers to verify entitlementYes — this is the only data the extension itself transmits to us
Current active tab's URL (used only to show which installed scripts match the page you're on)Read locally to match scriptsNo

The extension does not collect or transmit your browsing history, page content, keystrokes, mouse activity, personal communications, location, health information, or financial information. It does not monitor tabs other than the one you are actively viewing.

A note on scripts you install from the store

Some apps in the BotGentz store may, as part of their own stated function, request data from the page you're on (for example, a form-filler script reading a form on the page you're using it on). That data is handled by the individual script exactly as described in that app's listing, and does not pass through BotGentz's own servers unless the specific app's description says otherwise. We encourage you to review what an app does before installing it.
