Hardware & memory baseline
The floor this device category needs to clear before integration; exact figures are confirmed per project once we know your chipset and target markets.
Minimum RAM
1 GB for screenless/voice-only devices (speakers, radios); 2 GB for screen-based devices (TVs, tablets, e-readers, gaming)
Minimum storage
4 GB available for the OS-level install, OTA update headroom and the preloaded content catalog
CPU architecture
ARM (Cortex-A series and equivalent) and x86 both supported; ARMv7 minimum, ARMv8/64-bit recommended for full agent performance
Network
Wi-Fi or Ethernet required for setup, agent execution and OTA updates; core voice command recognition works offline once configured
Microphone array
Single mic supported for near-field (button-activated) devices; 2+ mic array recommended for far-field always-listening wake-word pickup
Audio output
Required for voice-only devices (speakers, radios); optional but recommended elsewhere for spoken confirmations and read-aloud features
OS install type
Full OS-level system service, not a sandboxed app — starts on boot, keeps running in the background, and can be woken by the wake-word engine even from a low-power state
Chipset compatibility
Pre-optimized for Qualcomm Snapdragon; also verified on Amlogic, MediaTek and Rockchip SoCs common in TV, speaker and tablet hardware — see the platform-specific SDK page for your device category for exact chipset notes
