About this app

WHAT IT DOES

18Birdies Web Round Stats Overlay automatically scans 18Birdies round summary pages and extracts comprehensive golf statistics including total score, fairways hit, greens in regulation, putts per hole, driving distance, and scoring breakdown. The tool displays a floating overlay panel that presents round statistics in a clean dashboard layout with color-coded performance indicators—green for strong performance, yellow for average, and red for areas needing improvement. Key stats are compared against typical benchmarks to quickly show your strengths and improvement areas. The panel provides quick summaries for front nine, back nine, and the overall round, giving you a complete picture of your performance. Scoring breakdown shows birdies, pars, bogeys, and double bogeys at a glance. Course name and date are displayed for context, and the panel automatically saves your round history for tracking improvement over time.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension operates exclusively on 18birdies.com domain pages that contain round summary content—specifically pages with "/round/" or "/scorecard/" in the URL path, or pages that display round scorecards and statistics. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The round stats overlay runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All round data extraction, performance analysis, and history tracking occurs on your machine, ensuring your golf statistics and improvement data remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.

HOW TO USE

After installing both BotGentz and this stats overlay, navigate to any 18Birdies round summary or scorecard page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying your round statistics. The "Score Summary" section shows your total score, score versus par, and front/back nine scores. The "Key Stats" section displays fairways hit (with percentage), greens in regulation (GIR), total putts and putts per hole, and driving distance—each with color-coded performance indicators. The "Scoring Breakdown" section shows your birdies, pars, bogeys, and double bogeys for the round. The "Course Info" section displays the course name and round date. A toggle lets you automatically show the overlay on round pages, which is enabled by default. The panel saves your round history for tracking improvement over time.

ROUND STATISTICS EXTRACTION AND PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS

The round stats overlay uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse golf statistics from 18Birdies round pages. It first attempts to find structured statistical data using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including "round-summary," "scorecard," and "round-stats" elements. When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for key statistical indicators using pattern matching for terms like "score," "fairway," "GIR," "putts," "driving distance," "front," "back," "birdie," "par," and "bogey." Each statistic is extracted through regex pattern matching specific to its format—scores as numbers, fairways as "X/Y" fractions, putts as totals or per-hole averages, and driving distance as numbers with "yds" or "yards" labels. Performance indicators use color-coding thresholds: fairways above 70% are green, 50-69% yellow, below 50% red; GIR above 60% green, 40-59% yellow, below 40% red; putts per hole below 1.8 green, 1.8-2.1 yellow, above 2.1 red; driving distance above 250 yards green, 220-249 yellow, below 220 red.

THE PANEL

The round stats overlay panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the 18Birdies round page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you review your round data. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and auto-show preferences are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the round stats overlay does not work standalone. 18Birdies occasionally updates its page layouts and scorecard presentation formats, which may temporarily affect statistic extraction accuracy. The tool extracts round data from the visible page content; if scorecard data is loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. Performance benchmarks are based on typical amateur golf standards and are provided as general guidance. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all round data extraction, performance analysis, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser. This tool is designed for personal performance tracking and is not affiliated with or endorsed by 18Birdies or its parent company. Round statistics are extracted from the page as displayed and should be verified against the official 18Birdies scorecard.
