WHAT IT DOES

Acuity Scheduling Web Booking Reminder automatically scans Acuity Scheduling booking and appointment pages to extract comprehensive booking data including appointment title, client name, appointment date and time, duration, location, booking status (Confirmed, Pending, Scheduled, Completed, Cancelled), booking ID, and notes. The tool displays a floating overlay panel showing a countdown to upcoming appointments with color-coded urgency indicators—green for 7+ days, yellow for 2-6 days, and red for under 2 days. A summary of booking details is displayed with color-coded status indicators. Each booking shows its service, client, date/time, duration, location, status, booking ID, and notes when available. A "Copy Booking Details" button copies all booking information to your clipboard. This provides a complete, organized view of your Acuity Scheduling bookings and helps you stay on top of your appointments.

This extension operates exclusively on acuityscheduling.com domain pages that contain booking and appointment content—specifically pages with "/schedule", "/appointments", "/bookings", or "/calendar" in the URL path, or pages that display appointment details and booking information. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The booking reminder runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All booking data extraction, countdown calculation, and preference storage are processed and stored on your machine, ensuring your booking data and tracking preferences remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.

HOW TO USE

After installing both BotGentz and this booking reminder, navigate to any Acuity Scheduling booking or appointment page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying a countdown to your appointment with color-coded urgency. The "Appointment" section displays service name, client name, date/time, duration, location, status with color-coded indicator, booking ID, and notes when available. The "Copy Booking Details" button copies all booking information to your clipboard. The panel provides a complete, organized view of your booking and helps you stay on top of your schedule.

BOOKING DATA EXTRACTION AND COUNTDOWN CALCULATION

The booking reminder uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse booking data from Acuity Scheduling pages. It first attempts to find structured booking elements using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including appointment details, booking info, and calendar elements. When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for booking-related patterns using pattern matching for client names, appointment titles, date/time formats, and status labels. Appointment titles are extracted from title elements or through pattern matching. Client names are extracted through pattern matching for "client:" or "name:" labels. Date and time are extracted through pattern matching for date and time formats. Duration is extracted through pattern matching for minute or hour values. Location is extracted through pattern matching for "location:" or "address:" labels. Booking status is determined through keyword detection for "Confirmed," "Pending," "Scheduled," "Completed," or "Cancelled." Booking IDs are extracted through pattern matching for alphanumeric codes. Notes are extracted through pattern matching for "notes:" or "special instructions:" labels. The countdown is calculated by comparing the appointment date/time to the current date, with color-coded urgency indicators based on days remaining. All data is presented in a clean, organized panel.

THE PANEL

The booking reminder panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the Acuity Scheduling page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you manage your bookings. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and booking tracking preferences are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the booking reminder does not work standalone. Acuity Scheduling occasionally updates its page layouts and booking presentation formats, which may temporarily affect booking data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts booking data from the visible page content; if booking information is loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. The countdown is calculated based on the extracted appointment time and is provided as a reference—always verify your actual appointment time on the official Acuity Scheduling platform. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all booking data extraction, countdown calculations, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser.
