Brokerage Web Dividend Calendar Overlay

WHAT IT DOES

This userscript creates a visual dividend calendar overlay for brokerage accounts, helping you track upcoming dividend payments and project your dividend income. It reads dividend data from holding pages, positions views, and dividend history sections, including stock symbols, dividend amounts, ex-dividend dates, payment dates, and dividend yields. The calendar view shows all upcoming dividends organized by date with color-coded dots indicating dividend size: green for high amounts, yellow for medium, and red for low. A summary panel displays total monthly dividend income, projected annual income, and average yield across your holdings. The dividend list shows each stock with its ex-date, pay date, amount, and yield, grouped by month.

WHERE IT RUNS

The script activates on Charles Schwab, Fidelity Investments, and Vanguard brokerage pages where positions, holdings, and dividend data are displayed. It works across account overviews, position lists, and dividend history sections.

HOW TO USE

After installation, navigate to your brokerage account's positions or dividend history page. The script automatically scans for dividend data and displays the calendar overlay. Configure dividend amount thresholds to customize what you consider high, medium, and low dividends. Toggle display of ex-dividend dates and payment dates. Set your currency symbol preference. Adjust the auto-refresh interval to keep the calendar up to date. Click "Refresh Dividends" to manually rescan, or "Copy Dividend Report" to export all dividend data to your clipboard.

THE ACTUAL REASON IT WORKS

Unlike relying on brokerage-specific dividend views which often require navigating to different pages, this script provides a unified dividend calendar using DOM scraping optimized for multiple brokerage platforms. It uses a multi-strategy extraction approach: scanning for data-testid attributes and class patterns specific to each brokerage, and falling back to regex-based text parsing to extract dividend data from page text. The script identifies dividend patterns by looking for stock symbols followed by dollar amounts and date patterns. Ex-dividend dates and payment dates are extracted from text patterns like "ex-date", "payable", or "payment". Yield percentages are extracted from percentage patterns. The calendar view uses CSS Grid to display a monthly calendar with dividend dots, and the summary panel calculates monthly and annual income projections. All processing occurs locally without API calls.

THE PANEL

The panel is fully draggable by its header and remembers its position across page loads using GM_setValue. It collapses to a small icon when minimized, preserving screen space. Press Escape or click the × button to close the panel. The panel includes a summary grid showing dividend stocks count, monthly income, annual income, and average yield, a monthly calendar view with dividend dots and total amounts per day, a detailed dividend list grouped by month with symbol, amount, dates, and yield, threshold controls for high and medium dividend amounts, toggle switches for ex-date and pay date display, currency symbol selector, refresh interval input, and action buttons for manual refresh and report copying.

PLEASE NOTE

This userscript requires the free BotGentz extension to run. The script reads only dividend data visible on the current page - it does not load additional data beyond what is rendered. Annual income projections are estimates based on quarterly dividend amounts multiplied by 4; actual income may vary. Brokerage periodically updates its interface, which may affect data extraction; we actively maintain the script for compatibility. The script does not send any data to external servers - all processing occurs locally in your browser. Dividend data is extracted from the displayed text and may vary if the brokerage's UI changes.
