WHAT IT DOES This tool extracts all hyperlinks from any webpage and exports them to CSV format with rich metadata. It scans the page for all tags with href attributes, extracts both the URL and the link text, and displays them in a scrollable list with checkboxes. You can filter links by keyword, by domain, or by link type (internal vs. external). The CSV export includes columns for URL, link text, and type (Internal/External), with optional metadata columns including link position (order on page), CSS class, ID, rel attribute, target attribute, parent H2 and H3 headings, parent div content, page title, and page URL. This is invaluable for SEO professionals performing link audits, content researchers mapping site structure, digital marketers analyzing outbound links, and web developers documenting site navigation. WHERE IT RUNS The script runs on any website, making it completely universal. It does not require a separate extension popup, background process, or external server. Everything happens within the page context, interacting with the page's DOM. HOW TO USE 1. Navigate to any webpage containing links you want to extract. 2. Open the BotGentz panel. 3. Optionally configure filters: - Filter by keyword to only show links containing a specific word or phrase. - Filter by domain to only show links from a specific domain. - Toggle "Include internal links" and/or "Include external links" to control which link types appear. 4. Configure CSV settings: - Choose CSV delimiter (comma, semicolon, or tab). - Toggle "Include metadata columns" to add extra columns to the CSV. 5. Click "Scan Page for Links" to start. 6. The script will scan the page and display a list of found links with checkboxes, type badges (INT/EXT), link text, and shortened URLs. 7. Select or deselect links using the checkboxes. 8. Click "Copy CSV to Clipboard" to export the selected links as CSV data. 9. Use "Copy All (no metadata)" to quickly export all links without metadata columns. TECHNICAL MECHANISM The script scans the DOM for all elements with href attributes, filtering out javascript: links and anchor-only links (#). For each link, it extracts the URL and the link text (falling back to title attribute, img alt text, or the URL itself). It then applies user-defined filters: keyword matching (case-insensitive, on both URL and text), domain filtering (checking if the hostname contains the filter string), and internal/external classification (comparing hostnames to the current page's base URL). When metadata is enabled, the script collects additional information: link position (index in the link list), CSS class, id attribute, rel attribute, target attribute, parent H2 and H3 headings, parent div content, page title, and page URL. The filtered links are rendered in a scrollable list with checkboxes. When exporting, the script generates CSV with proper escaping for the selected delimiter and copies the result to the clipboard using GM_setClipboard. THE PANEL The tool appears as a draggable, resizable panel on the side of your screen. You can drag it to any position by clicking and holding the header, resize it by dragging the bottom-right corner, and collapse it to a small bubble when not in use. Press the Escape key to close the panel. The panel remembers its position, size, and your filter preferences per domain so they persist across visits. PLEASE NOTE This script requires the free BotGentz extension to run. It does not store any personal data — all link extraction happens locally and no data is sent to any external server.
