WHAT IT DOES

Busuu Web Community Correction Organizer reads community corrections and feedback from your Busuu account and displays a floating correction organizer showing pending corrections by language. The badge shows the number of pending corrections out of total corrections, with a yellow highlight when corrections are pending. A language breakdown shows which languages have pending corrections. The extension tracks correction response status per exercise, storing each correction status change with a timestamp. When new corrections arrive, a desktop notification is triggered. The panel displays your pending corrections, resolved corrections, and language breakdown. The panel settings let you control overlay visibility, refresh corrections, toggle resolved corrections visibility, and adjust notification preferences.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension works on all Busuu pages at busuu.com and its subdomains, specifically on account pages where community corrections and feedback are displayed. It runs on the main account page, the corrections page, the feedback page, and any page displaying correction information. The extension operates entirely within your browser and does not access Busuu's servers directly—it reads only what is visible on the page you are viewing. It works alongside the free BotGentz extension, which provides the necessary scripting environment.

HOW TO USE

Install the extension, then navigate to busuu.com and log in to your account. The extension automatically creates a floating correction organizer badge on the page. Click the extension's icon in your browser toolbar to open the settings panel. Use the "Show Overlay" / "Hide Overlay" button to toggle the badge visibility. The badge shows your pending corrections, total corrections, and language breakdown. Use the "Refresh" button to manually update the badge with the latest correction information. The "Show resolved corrections" toggle controls whether resolved corrections appear in the details. The "New correction notifications" toggle controls desktop notifications for new corrections. Adjust the overlay transparency using the opacity dropdown (70%, 82%, 92%, or 100%). Drag the badge by clicking and holding anywhere inside it. Resize it by dragging the bottom-right corner. Close the badge with the × button.

CORRECTION EXTRACTION WITH LANGUAGE DETECTION AND SESSION-BASED VIEW TRACKING

Unlike simple correction counters, this extension uses a multi-selector extraction engine to find correction items from Busuu's varying page structures. It searches for corrections using multiple selector patterns (.correction-item, .feedback-item, .community-correction) and falls back to text parsing. Status detection uses keyword matching to classify corrections as pending or resolved (resolved, done, completed, viewed). Language detection extracts language information from language elements or falls back to text-based detection. Session-based view tracking uses a unique session ID to store which corrections have been viewed, showing only newly arrived corrections. The notification system checks for new corrections every time the page updates and sends a desktop notification with a one-hour cooldown. Per-exercise correction history is stored with timestamps for tracking response status over time.

THE PANEL

The panel supports drag-to-move anywhere on the page. It remembers its position per site, so it stays where you placed it on busuu.com. Click the panel header to collapse it down to just the minimized bubble, or click the expand handle to show the full panel. The panel can be resized by dragging the bottom-right corner. Press the Escape key to close the expanded panel and return to the minimized state. All panel settings, including position, size, collapsed state, opacity, resolved corrections visibility, notification preference, and correction history, are saved per site and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to be installed and active, as it provides the underlying DOM injection and script execution environment. Busuu's website changes periodically, and correction element structures, class names, and page layouts may be updated. When that happens, the extension may stop detecting correction data until an update is released. The extension stores your overlay position, size, opacity, visibility, resolved corrections preference, notification preference, and session-based viewed correction IDs locally in your browser's storage using GM_setValue. Viewed corrections are stored as an array of correction IDs per session ID. The correction count is based on corrections visible on the page—the extension does not access Busuu's internal correction data. Always verify with Busuu directly for the most current correction information. No data is ever sent to any server, and no personal information is collected. You can clear all stored settings at any time by clearing your browser data for busuu.com.
