About this app

WHAT IT DOES

This tool connects to your MetaMask wallet and checks your staking positions across multiple protocols. You provide the contract addresses of the staking protocols you use. The tool attempts to read your staked balance using multiple common staking patterns — balanceOf, lockedAmount, getUserInfo, and userInfo — to support a wide variety of staking contract designs. It then fetches current token prices from CoinGecko to estimate the USD value of each position, and displays a summary with your staked amounts and total value.

HOW TO USE

Connect your MetaMask wallet using the Connect button. In the text area, enter the contract addresses of the staking protocols you want to check, one per line. Use the preset buttons (Lido stETH, Rocket Pool rETH, StakeWise, Ankr stETH) to quickly add popular Ethereum staking contracts. Click "Check Staking" to read your positions. The tool will attempt multiple reading patterns and display each position with your staked amount, token symbol, estimated USD value, and the method used to read it. A total staked value is also shown.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool uses the BGWallet bridge to access the blockchain provider via ethers.js. For each staking contract address you provide, it attempts a series of common staking read patterns in order: balanceOf, lockedAmount, getUserInfo, and userInfo. Each pattern is tried sequentially, and the first successful read that returns a non-zero balance is used. This multi-pattern approach allows the tool to work with a wide variety of staking contract designs without requiring protocol-specific ABIs. Once a balance is found, the tool attempts to read the contract's name, symbol, and decimals using the standard ERC-20 interface, falling back to defaults if those methods fail. It then fetches current USD prices from CoinGecko for each unique token symbol and calculates the USD value of each position.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot read staking positions from protocols not explicitly configured by the user — it only checks the addresses you provide. It cannot automatically discover staking positions without user-provided contract addresses. It cannot read positions from non-EVM networks like Solana or Bitcoin. It cannot decode complex staking state without protocol-specific ABIs beyond the common patterns it tries. It cannot provide historical returns, APY, or reward data. It cannot display positions across multiple networks in one view without switching networks. It cannot account for positions in protocols that use non-standard patterns or proxy contracts. It cannot provide real-time price data if the CoinGecko API is unavailable. It cannot detect pending rewards or claimable amounts without protocol-specific reward functions. It cannot show your unstaking or withdrawal status.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool works only with EVM-compatible wallets connected via the BGWallet bridge. The preset addresses are for Ethereum mainnet — they will not work on other networks. Always verify that you are on the correct network for the protocols you are checking. Prices are fetched from CoinGecko and may be delayed. The tool does not store or transmit any data — all processing occurs in your browser. This tool is provided as a staking position viewer utility and does not provide trading, staking, or investment advice. Always verify your positions directly on the protocol's official interface for important decisions.
