About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Eventbrite Ticket Countdown Badge transforms your Eventbrite browsing experience by adding real-time visual indicators directly to event pages. It displays a compact countdown badge showing exactly how many days and hours remain until the event starts, with color-coded urgency indicators: green for events more than 14 days away, yellow for 7-14 days, orange for 3-7 days, and red for less than 3 days. Additionally, it adds ticket availability badges showing remaining ticket counts and sell-out risk indicators so you never miss out on popular events. The tool automatically reads event dates, ticket quantities, pricing tiers, and availability status from Eventbrite pages, presenting all this information at a glance without requiring any manual input.

WHERE IT RUNS

This script operates natively on all Eventbrite pages including event listings, ticket selection views, order confirmation pages, and checkout flows. It automatically detects when you navigate between events using Eventbrite's single-page application architecture and updates the badges accordingly without requiring page refreshes.

HOW TO USE

Simply install the script through the BotGentz extension and visit any Eventbrite event page. The countdown and ticket badges will appear automatically near the event header or ticket selection area. Use the configuration panel to customize your experience: toggle the countdown display on or off, show or hide ticket availability badges, choose between compact, days-hours, or full countdown formats, and enable or disable notifications for ticket availability changes. The panel also includes a "Refresh Now" button to manually update all data and a "Copy Event Info" button to export event details to your clipboard.

DOM MUTATION OBSERVER WITH STRUCTURED DATA PARSING

Unlike simple scrapers that only read visible text, this script employs a dual-layer extraction strategy. First, it uses a DOM MutationObserver to detect when Eventbrite dynamically renders event content, ensuring badges appear immediately even on rapidly-updating pages. Second, it parses JSON-LD structured data embedded in the page's script tags, which contains canonical event information including ISO-8601 timestamps that remain accurate regardless of locale or display formatting. This structured data approach provides reliable date extraction even when the visual presentation changes, and the observer ensures the script reacts to SPA navigation events that would otherwise require full page reloads. The script also caches extracted data and uses delta detection to trigger notifications only when ticket counts actually change, avoiding false alerts.

THE PANEL

The configuration panel is draggable and can be positioned anywhere on screen. It remembers its position per-site using GM_setValue, snaps to edges when dragged near them, and can be collapsed to a compact bubble when not in use. Press the Escape key to quickly collapse the panel. All settings are persisted locally and restored on subsequent visits.

PLEASE NOTE

This script requires the free BotGentz extension to run. Eventbrite occasionally updates their page structure, which may affect the script's ability to locate event data — we actively maintain the script and release updates to keep it working. This script only reads publicly visible event data and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All settings are stored locally in your browser and never leave your device.
