About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Lichess Rating History Chart Overlay adds a floating overlay chart to Lichess profile pages that visualizes your rating history across all game formats. The script extracts rating data for blitz, rapid, classical, bullet, and ultrabullet formats from your Lichess profile, then displays an interactive chart with zoom and pan capabilities. Each format is color-coded for easy identification—blitz in blue, rapid in green, classical in purple, bullet in red, and ultrabullet in orange. A visible badge shows your current rating and rating change (up/down/steady) with color-coded indicators. The dashboard provides a summary of rating statistics including high, low, average, and deviation for each format. You can switch between different time periods—1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or all time—to focus on specific ranges. Significant rating milestones are highlighted on the chart.

WHERE IT RUNS

This script runs on Lichess, specifically on profile pages, user pages, and any page displaying rating information. It works on both desktop and mobile views, automatically detecting rating data from the page.

HOW TO USE

After installing through the BotGentz extension, navigate to any Lichess profile page. The script automatically detects rating data and displays the chart overlay. A badge shows your current rating and recent change. Use the configuration panel to customize your experience: toggle the overlay on or off, show or hide the chart, show or hide the rating badge, show or hide peak rating information, set the default time period, enable or disable auto-detection, and choose a color scheme. The panel displays real-time statistics for the selected format—current rating, peak, low, average, and deviation. Use the format selector buttons to switch between game formats (Blitz, Rapid, Classical, Bullet, Ultrabullet). Use the period selector buttons to change the time range. The "Scan Profile" button manually refreshes the data, and "Export Data" copies a rating summary report to your clipboard.

PROFILE DATA EXTRACTION WITH RATING HISTORY VISUALIZATION AND PERIOD FILTERING

This script implements a rating data extraction engine using DOM traversal with platform-specific selectors for Lichess's rating display elements. The engine extracts current ratings for each format from the page, then generates realistic historical rating data to populate the chart. The visualization engine uses SVG-based rendering with configurable time periods—filtering data by date range (1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, all time). The chart includes area fill, trend lines, data points, and rating labels at key positions. The statistics engine calculates high, low, average, and deviation for the selected time period. The color-coded format selector allows switching between rating categories with persistent selected format across interactions.

THE PANEL

The configuration panel is fully draggable and remembers its position per-site using GM_setValue. It snaps to screen edges when dragged near them, collapses to a compact bubble when minimized, and supports Escape key for quick collapse. All settings—including overlay visibility, chart display, badge visibility, peak display, default period, auto-detection, and color scheme—are persisted across sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This script requires the free BotGentz extension to run. The script runs on Lichess and reads rating data from profile pages. It does not capture, store, or transmit any personal information. All rating data is processed locally in your browser and never transmitted to external servers. The script reads only publicly visible rating information displayed on the page. The chart displays simulated historical data based on current ratings—for accurate historical data, the script would need to fetch from Lichess's API. This tool is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.
