WHAT IT DOES

Music Lesson Booking Reminder Badge helps music teachers and students stay organized by adding visual reminders and countdown timers directly to lesson booking pages. The script automatically scans your dashboard for upcoming music lessons, extracts lesson dates and times, student names, instruments being taught, and lesson statuses, then applies color-coded urgency badges that let you instantly see which lessons need attention. Green badges indicate lessons more than 24 hours away, yellow for 12-24 hours, orange for 3-12 hours, and urgent red for lessons starting within 3 hours. Each lesson card also displays a live countdown timer that updates in real-time, showing exactly how much time remains until the lesson begins. The script includes instrument-specific emoji icons that make different lesson types instantly recognizable at a glance—piano, guitar, violin, drums, voice, and more. It scans your messages and adds reminder badges to conversations that mention upcoming lessons, and includes a one-click calendar export feature to add lessons to your Google Calendar.

This script operates on all major music lesson marketplace platforms including Lessons.com, TakeLessons, Musika, Lessonface, MusicTeacher.com, and Thumbtack. It works on dashboard pages, booking management views, lesson lists, calendar views, and individual lesson detail pages. The script automatically detects which platform you're on and adapts its extraction logic to match each site's specific layout.

HOW TO USE

After installing through the BotGentz extension, simply navigate to your music lesson dashboard or booking management page. The script automatically scans all visible lessons and applies reminder badges and countdown timers. Use the configuration panel to customize your experience: toggle the time badge on or off, enable or disable countdown timers, control color-coding by urgency, and configure notification preferences. Set the number of hours before a lesson starts to receive browser notifications—you'll be alerted when lessons are approaching so you can prepare materials, warm up, log in early, or send pre-lesson messages. The panel also includes a manual refresh button to re-scan the page after making changes.

MULTI-PLATFORM ADAPTIVE EXTRACTION WITH INSTRUMENT DETECTION

This script implements a sophisticated platform-adaptive extraction engine that maintains separate selector strategies for each supported music lesson marketplace. When the script loads, it detects the current domain and applies the appropriate selector set for that platform's specific HTML structure. The date parser handles multiple formats including relative times like "in 2 hours," absolute times like "3:00 PM EST," and combined date-time strings. The instrument detection system extracts instrument names from various contextual locations—subject fields, lesson type labels, category tags, and service descriptors—then maps them to appropriate emoji icons. This multi-platform, multi-context approach ensures reliable lesson detection and instrument identification across all supported services without requiring per-site customization, while the emoji mapping provides instant visual recognition for different lesson types.

THE PANEL

The configuration panel is fully draggable and remembers its position per-site using GM_setValue. It snaps to screen edges when dragged near them, collapses to a compact bubble when minimized, and supports Escape key for quick collapse. All settings—including badge visibility, countdown preferences, notification timing, and auto-refresh interval—are persisted across sessions.
