WHAT IT DOES

Preply Web Lesson Package Tracker automatically scans Preply lesson and package pages to extract comprehensive package data including package name, lesson count, remaining lessons, student name, subject, purchase date, expiration date, and package status (Active, Completed, Expired, Cancelled). The tool displays a floating overlay panel showing a summary of active lesson packages with usage progress bars. Packages that are near expiration (within 14 days) or running low on lessons (20% or less remaining) are highlighted with color-coded alerts—orange for near expiration and yellow for low lessons. Each package shows remaining lessons, percentage used, student name, subject, purchase date, and expiration date. Summary statistics show active packages, expiring soon packages, and low-lesson packages. This provides a complete, organized view of your Preply lesson packages and helps you manage your tutoring commitments.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension operates exclusively on preply.com domain pages that contain lesson and package content—specifically pages with "/packages", "/lessons", "/dashboard", or "/tutor" in the URL path, or pages that display lesson packages and subscription information. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The lesson package tracker runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All package data extraction, usage tracking, and preference storage are processed and stored on your machine, ensuring your package data and tracking preferences remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.

HOW TO USE

After installing both BotGentz and this package tracker, navigate to any Preply lesson or package page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying all your lesson packages. The "Packages" section lists each package with its name, status badge, student name, subject, purchase date, expiration date, and a lesson progress bar showing remaining lessons and percentage used. Packages with low lessons or near expiration are highlighted. The "Stats" section shows active packages, expiring soon packages, and low-lesson packages. The panel provides a complete, organized view of your lesson packages and helps you track usage and expiration.

PACKAGE DATA EXTRACTION AND USAGE TRACKING

The lesson package tracker uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse package data from Preply pages. It first attempts to find structured package elements using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including "package-item," "package-card," "lesson-package," and "subscription-item." When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for package-related patterns using pattern matching for lesson counts, remaining lesson labels, and date formats. Package names are extracted from title elements or through pattern matching. Total lesson counts and remaining lessons are extracted through pattern matching for numeric values with "lessons" or "sessions" labels. Student names are extracted through pattern matching for "student:" labels or capitalized names. Subjects are extracted through pattern matching for "subject:" labels or common subject keywords. Purchase dates and expiration dates are extracted through pattern matching for "purchased:" or "expires:" labels. Package status is classified through keyword detection for "Active," "Completed," "Expired," or "Cancelled." Low-lesson alerts are triggered when remaining lessons are 20% or less of total lessons. Near-expiry alerts are triggered when the expiration date is within 14 days.

THE PANEL

The lesson package tracker panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the Preply package page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you manage your packages. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and package tracking preferences are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the lesson package tracker does not work standalone. Preply occasionally updates its page layouts and package presentation formats, which may temporarily affect package data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts package data from the visible page content; if package information is loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. Low-lesson and near-expiry alerts are based on extracted data and are provided as a reference—always verify your actual package status on the official Preply platform. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all package data extraction, usage tracking, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser.
