WHAT IT DOES

Revue Web Archive Organizer automatically scans Revue newsletter archive and issue pages to extract comprehensive archive data including issue title, publication date, issue summary, issue status (Published, Draft, Scheduled, Archived), and subscriber engagement (opens/views). The tool displays a floating overlay panel showing a summary of your newsletter archive with total issues, recent issues, and high-engagement issues. Archives can be sorted by date, title, or engagement level. Recent issues are highlighted with a blue border and "Recent" badge. Each issue displays its title, publication date, status badge (color-coded), engagement metrics, and summary. Status breakdown shows the distribution of issues by status. This provides a complete, organized view of your Revue newsletter archive and helps you track performance.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension operates exclusively on revue.com domain pages that contain newsletter archive and issue content—specifically pages with "/archive", "/issues", "/newsletter", or "/publications" in the URL path, or pages that display issue listings and archive data. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The archive organizer runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All archive data extraction, sorting, and preference storage are processed and stored on your machine, ensuring your newsletter data and tracking preferences remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.

HOW TO USE

After installing both BotGentz and this archive organizer, navigate to any Revue archive or issues page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying a summary with total issues, recent issues, and high-engagement issues. The "Sort & Filter" section lets you sort archives by Recent, Title, or Engagement—click any option to reorder the archive. The "Archives" section lists each issue with its title, status badge (color-coded), publication date, engagement count, and summary. Recent issues are highlighted with a blue border. The "Status Breakdown" section shows all issue statuses with counts. The panel provides a complete, organized view of your newsletter archive.

ARCHIVE DATA EXTRACTION AND ORGANIZATION

The archive organizer uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse archive data from Revue pages. It first attempts to find structured archive elements using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including "archive-item," "issue-item," "publication-item," and "post-item." When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for archive-related patterns using pattern matching for issue titles, dates, and status labels. Issue titles are extracted from title elements or through pattern matching. Publication dates are extracted through pattern matching for date formats. Issue summaries are extracted through pattern matching for descriptive text. Issue status is determined through keyword detection for "Published," "Draft," "Scheduled," or "Archived." Subscriber engagement is extracted through pattern matching for numeric values with "opens," "views," or "reads" labels. Recent issue detection uses a 30-day threshold based on publication date. Sorting options (Date, Title, Engagement) are applied to the archive list, and preferences are stored using GM_setValue. Status breakdowns are aggregated with counts for summary display.

THE PANEL

The archive organizer panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the Revue archive page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you manage your archive. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and sorting preferences are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the archive organizer does not work standalone. Revue occasionally updates its page layouts and archive presentation formats, which may temporarily affect archive data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts archive data from the visible page content; if archive information is loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. Engagement metrics are extracted from the page and are for reference only—always check your official Revue dashboard for accurate analytics. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all archive data extraction, sorting, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser.
