About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Superhuman Web Keyboard Shortcut Overlay provides a comprehensive, searchable reference for Superhuman keyboard shortcuts directly within the web interface. The tool scans the Superhuman email interface and displays a floating overlay panel showing all available keyboard shortcuts organized by category—Navigation, Compose & Send, Actions, Reading & Viewing, Snooze, and Labels & Folders. Each shortcut displays the key combination and its action description. A search feature lets you quickly find shortcuts by action name or key combination. You can show or hide entire categories using toggle buttons, and your preferences are saved across sessions. The panel highlights shortcut keys with color-coded indicators and includes tips for using the overlay. This provides a complete, organized reference for keyboard-driven email management.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension operates exclusively on superhuman.com domain pages that contain the email interface—specifically pages with "/inbox", "/app", or "/mail" in the URL path, or pages that display the Superhuman email application. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The keyboard shortcut overlay runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All shortcut data, category preferences, and view settings are processed and stored on your machine, ensuring your usage data and preferences remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.

HOW TO USE

After installing both BotGentz and this shortcut overlay, navigate to any Superhuman email page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying the "Keyboard Shortcuts" overlay. The "Search" field lets you filter shortcuts by action name or key combination—type any term to see matching shortcuts. Shortcuts are organized by category, with each showing its key combination and action description. Use the category toggle buttons in the "Settings" section to show or hide entire shortcut groups—your preferences are saved automatically. The "Tips" section reminds you that pressing "?" shows the overlay. The panel provides a complete, organized reference for Superhuman keyboard shortcuts.

SHORTCUT DATA AND CATEGORY MANAGEMENT

The keyboard shortcut overlay includes a comprehensive database of Superhuman keyboard shortcuts organized into six categories: Navigation (inbox navigation, search, go-to commands), Compose & Send (compose, send, reply, forward), Actions (archive, delete, snooze, label, move), Reading & Viewing (open, next/previous, thread toggle), Snooze (snooze options), and Labels & Folders (label management). Each shortcut includes key combinations with platform-agnostic notation (⌘ for Command on Mac, Ctrl on Windows). The search functionality filters shortcuts in real-time based on the user's query. Category toggle buttons store user preferences in GM_setValue, allowing users to customize which shortcut categories are displayed. The interface uses color-coded key displays and a clean, organized layout for quick reference.

THE PANEL

The keyboard shortcut overlay panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the Superhuman interface. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you reference shortcuts. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and category visibility preferences are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the keyboard shortcut overlay does not work standalone. The shortcut database is pre-defined based on Superhuman's official shortcuts and may not reflect custom shortcuts or recent updates to the application. Always refer to Superhuman's official documentation for the most current shortcut information. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all shortcut data, category preferences, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser. This tool is designed for personal productivity assistance and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Superhuman or its parent company. Shortcut availability may vary based on the current context within the Superhuman interface.
