About this app

WHAT IT DOES

This tool enables you to swap MATIC (Polygon's native token) for USDC (USD Coin) directly through the QuickSwap V2 protocol on the Polygon network. It reads your current MATIC and USDC balances, fetches real-time quotes from the QuickSwap router, and allows you to set a slippage tolerance to protect against price movement during transaction confirmation. The tool then constructs and signs a transaction to execute the swap, with the resulting USDC sent directly to your wallet.

The tool is specifically designed for the Polygon network (formerly Matic Network), automatically detecting whether you are on Polygon Mainnet or Mumbai Testnet and using the appropriate USDC contract addresses and QuickSwap router addresses. This ensures you are always swapping against the correct liquidity pools on Polygon, where QuickSwap is one of the leading decentralized exchanges.

HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet using the "connect" button. The tool will display your chain ID, wallet address, and current MATIC and USDC balances. Enter the amount of MATIC you wish to swap in the input field — the tool will automatically fetch a quote from the QuickSwap router showing the estimated USDC you will receive. Adjust the slippage tolerance (default 0.5%) to protect against price changes during transaction confirmation. Higher slippage increases the chance of success but may result in a worse price, while lower slippage provides better price protection but may cause the transaction to fail if the market moves.

Review the swap summary showing the exact amounts, then click "swap MATIC → USDC" to sign and submit the transaction through your wallet. The tool will wait for confirmation and display the final USDC received and transaction details on PolygonScan. The swap includes a 20-minute deadline to prevent the transaction from being executed if it remains pending for too long.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM — QUICKSWAP V2 ROUTER INTEGRATION

The tool uses the QuickSwap V2 router contract's getAmountsOut() method to simulate the swap and determine the exact USDC output based on the current pool reserves. This function reads the reserves of the MATIC/USDC pair and applies the constant product formula (x * y = k) to calculate the output amount. The swap is executed using the router's swapExactMATICForTokens() function, which takes the minimum output amount (derived from your slippage setting), the path (WMATIC → USDC), the recipient address, and a deadline.

The tool constructs the transaction with the MATIC amount as the value parameter, ensuring the router receives the exact MATIC to swap. The USDC output is automatically sent to your wallet address. Gas estimation is performed using estimateGas to provide an accurate cost estimate before you sign. After the transaction is mined, the tool parses the USDC Transfer event to display the exact amount received. The tool handles the native MATIC to WMATIC wrapping automatically through the router's path configuration, as QuickSwap uses WMATIC in its liquidity pairs.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot guarantee price stability across block times — the actual price you receive may differ from the quote if the market moves before your transaction is mined. It cannot estimate exact gas costs without a live RPC call, and gas prices on Polygon may change between quoting and execution. The tool cannot verify that the USDC contract address is correct for the current chain — it relies on a pre-configured mapping that may become outdated if QuickSwap or USDC updates their contracts. It cannot cancel a transaction once submitted, and if the transaction fails due to slippage or other issues, you may still pay gas fees. The tool cannot handle swaps on non-Polygon chains or with tokens other than MATIC and USDC.

PLEASE NOTE — POLYGON NETWORK ONLY

This tool works exclusively on the Polygon network (chain ID 137) and Mumbai Testnet (chain ID 80001). It does not support Ethereum Mainnet, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, or any other EVM chain. Always verify that you are connected to the Polygon network before executing a swap. The tool uses QuickSwap V2 routers and USDC token addresses specific to Polygon. Swapping on the wrong network or with outdated contract addresses will result in transaction failure and loss of gas fees. USDC on Polygon is a bridged version of the stablecoin, not the native ERC-20 version found on Ethereum.
