TaskRabbit Web Earnings Summary Overlay automatically scans TaskRabbit earnings and task history pages to extract comprehensive earning data including task name, earnings amount, task category (Cleaning, Handyman, Moving, Delivery, Assembly, Painting, Gardening, Electronics, Events), completion date, and payment status. The tool displays a floating overlay panel showing a summary of earnings with daily, weekly, and monthly totals. A breakdown by task category with color-coded indicators shows which types of tasks generate the most income. You can set daily, weekly, and monthly earning goals, and the tool displays a goal progress bar showing your progress toward each goal. Summary statistics show available balance, pending earnings, and total earned. Your goal preferences are saved automatically across sessions. This provides a complete, organized view of your TaskRabbit earnings and helps you track progress toward your income goals.

This extension operates exclusively on taskrabbit.com domain pages that contain earnings and task history content—specifically pages with "/earnings", "/task-history", "/dashboard", or "/tasker" in the URL path, or pages that display task history and earning information. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The earnings summary overlay runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All earning data extraction, category analysis, and goal preferences are processed and stored on your machine, ensuring your earning data and tracking preferences remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.

HOW TO USE

After installing both BotGentz and this earnings summary, navigate to any TaskRabbit earnings or task history page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying your available balance, pending earnings, and total earned. The "Period Totals" section shows your earnings for today, this week, and this month. The "Categories" section shows a breakdown of earnings by task category with color-coded indicators and task counts. The "Goals" section shows your progress toward daily, weekly, and monthly goals with color-coded progress bars. The "Set Goals" section lets you adjust your earning goals—enter new amounts and they are saved automatically. The panel provides a complete, organized view of your TaskRabbit earning activity.

EARNING DATA EXTRACTION AND CATEGORY ANALYSIS

The earnings summary uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse earning data from TaskRabbit pages. It first attempts to find structured task and earning elements using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including "task-item," "earning-item," "task-history-item," and "job-item." When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for task-related patterns using pattern matching for dollar amounts and task-related keywords. Task names are extracted from title elements or through pattern matching. Earnings amounts are extracted through pattern matching for dollar values. Task categories are classified using a comprehensive keyword mapping system: "clean," "cleaning," "maid," or "housekeeping" maps to Cleaning; "handyman," "repair," "fix," or "maintenance" to Handyman; "move," "moving," "haul," or "transport" to Moving; "deliver," "delivery," "courier," or "pickup" to Delivery; "assemble," "assembly," "furniture," or "build" to Assembly; "paint," "painting," "wall," or "touch-up" to Painting; "garden," "yard," "lawn," or "landscaping" to Gardening; "electronics," "tech," "smart home," or "install" to Electronics; "event," "party," "wedding," or "help" to Events. Completion dates are extracted through pattern matching for date formats, and payment status is determined through keyword detection for "Pending," "Paid," "Cancelled," or "In Progress." Goals are stored using GM_setValue and persist across sessions.

THE PANEL

The earnings summary panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the TaskRabbit earnings page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you track your earnings. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and goal preferences are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the earnings summary does not work standalone. TaskRabbit occasionally updates its page layouts and earnings presentation formats, which may temporarily affect earning data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts earning data from the visible page content; if earnings information is loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. Category classification is based on keyword detection and may not capture all task types with perfect accuracy. Goals are for personal tracking only and do not affect your TaskRabbit account.
