About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Telehealth Waiting Room Timer transforms your virtual healthcare experience by adding real-time visibility to your waiting room status. The script monitors your telehealth waiting room page, extracting estimated wait times, position in queue, provider names, and appointment status. A visible countdown timer shows both elapsed wait time and estimated remaining time, so you always know how long you've been waiting and when to expect your provider. When the provider joins, you receive an immediate audio and visual alert with a notification, so you never miss the start of your visit. A progress bar visualizes your wait time progression relative to the estimate. The script tracks wait time history to show average wait times and trends for your provider. Real-time status updates show connection health indicators and any changes to your queue position.
WHERE IT RUNS
This script operates on all major telehealth platforms including Doxy.me, Zoom, Amwell, Teladoc, Doctor On Demand, MDLive, VSee, and SimplePractice. It works on waiting room pages, pre-visit screens, lobby views, and appointment status pages. The script automatically detects which platform you're using and adapts its extraction logic to that site's specific interface.
HOW TO USE
After installing through the BotGentz extension, simply join your telehealth appointment and navigate to the waiting room page. The script automatically begins monitoring the page and displays a countdown timer and status panel. Use the configuration panel to customize your experience: toggle the wait timer on or off, show or hide the progress bar, enable or disable the position badge, and configure alert preferences. Enable "Alert on provider join" to receive a browser notification and audio alert when your provider arrives. Enable "Alert on long wait" to be notified when wait times exceed expectations. The panel displays real-time statistics including your current position, elapsed time, and estimated remaining time. The panel also includes a manual refresh button to update the status at any time.
PLATFORM-ADAPTIVE WAITING ROOM MONITORING WITH REAL-TIME ALERT ENGINE
This script implements a sophisticated monitoring engine that adapts to each telehealth platform's unique page structure. The engine uses platform-specific CSS selectors to detect wait time indicators, queue positions, provider names, and connection status elements. When specific selectors fail, the engine falls back to text pattern matching, scanning page content for wait time, position, and status indicators. The real-time alert engine includes a Web Audio beep sequence that plays when the provider joins, ensuring you hear the alert even if you've stepped away from your screen. The wait history tracker uses GM_setValue to store wait time data, enabling trend analysis across visits. The progress bar calculates wait progression relative to the estimated wait time, with color changes when wait exceeds expectations or becomes critically long.
THE PANEL
The configuration panel is fully draggable and remembers its position per-site using GM_setValue. It snaps to screen edges when dragged near them, collapses to a compact bubble when minimized, and supports Escape key for quick collapse. All settings—including timer visibility, progress bar preferences, position badge, alert toggles, and auto-refresh interval—are persisted across sessions.
PLEASE NOTE
This script requires the free BotGentz extension to run. Telehealth platforms periodically update their page structures, which may affect the script's ability to monitor waiting rooms—we actively maintain the script and release updates to ensure compatibility. The script reads only publicly visible waiting room data displayed on the page and does not access hidden fields, passwords, or sensitive medical information. All wait time history and settings are stored locally in your browser and never transmitted to external servers. This tool is designed to help you manage your telehealth experience and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any telehealth platform.
