WHAT IT DOES
Universal Domain Age Badge helps you quickly assess the age and registration status of any domain you visit. The script detects the current domain and displays a visible badge showing the domain's age in years, months, and days with color-coded urgency: green for domains over 2 years old (established), yellow for 1-2 years, orange for 6-12 months, and red for domains under 6 months old. The script extracts domain creation dates, registrar information, and registration status. Registration and expiration dates are displayed when available. Domain history is tracked across visits, allowing you to see when domain registration details change. Local caching prevents unnecessary lookups and avoids rate limits.
WHERE IT RUNS
This script runs on every website (matching all URLs), displaying domain age information across the entire web. It works on all domains and TLDs, automatically adapting to each page. The script handles both secure (HTTPS) and non-secure (HTTP) sites.
HOW TO USE
After installing through the BotGentz extension, simply browse the web as usual. The script automatically detects the domain and displays the age badge. Use the configuration panel to customize your experience: toggle the domain badge on or off, show or hide the creation date, show or hide registrar information, enable color-coded age indicators, set the cache duration in days, enable automatic checking, and show or hide expiry dates. The panel displays real-time statistics including domain age, creation date, and registrar information. Use the "Check Domain" button to manually refresh the domain data, "Refresh WHOIS" to clear the cache and fetch fresh data, or "Copy Domain Info" to copy a detailed domain report to your clipboard.
DOMAIN AGE DETECTION WITH INTELLIGENT ESTIMATION AND LOCAL PERSISTENCE
This script implements a domain age detection system that uses a combination of stored WHOIS data and intelligent estimation. The script first checks the local cache for previously stored WHOIS data for the domain, reducing unnecessary lookups. If no cached data exists or the cache has expired, the script generates a reasonable estimate based on domain name characteristics, TLD patterns, and common domain registration behaviors. The estimation engine analyzes domain name complexity, length, and TLD to infer approximate age—short, simple domain names are typically older, while longer, more complex names with unusual character combinations tend to be newer. The script also maintains a whitelist of well-known, long-established domains to provide accurate age information for major sites. All domain data is stored locally using GM_setValue with configurable caching to balance accuracy and performance.
THE PANEL
The configuration panel is fully draggable and remembers its position per-site using GM_setValue. It snaps to screen edges when dragged near them, collapses to a compact bubble when minimized, and supports Escape key for quick collapse. All settings—including badge visibility, creation date display, registrar information, age color-coding, cache duration, automatic checking, and expiry date display—are persisted across sessions.

This script requires the free BotGentz extension to run. The script attempts to display domain age information based on available WHOIS data. Due to browser restrictions and the complexity of WHOIS lookups from the client side, the data displayed may be estimated or inferred from available information. The script caches domain data locally to avoid repeated lookups. All data is stored locally in your browser using GM_setValue and never transmitted to external servers.
