It reads ticket listing data from the page—extracting base ticket prices, service fees, and total prices—and displays a fee transparency badge on every listing. The badge shows the total price, fee percentage, and a detailed breakdown (base price + fees) with a color-coded indicator: green for low fees (35%). Listings with the lowest fees are highlighted with a star. A summary panel shows the average fee percentage, total fees across all listings, and counts by fee category (low, medium, high, very high). A one-click button opens the listing details page. WHERE IT RUNS The script runs on all Vivid Seats web application pages at *.vividseats.com/*, with automatic detection of event pages, ticket search results, and any page displaying ticket listings. It works across all Vivid Seats interfaces by using multiple selector strategies to find ticket listings, base prices, service fees, total prices, and section information. The script detects dynamic content loading and re-applies fee transparency badges when the ticket list updates. It runs across the entire Vivid Seats domain, ensuring coverage whether you're viewing a specific event's ticket listings, a category search, or a filtered ticket view. HOW TO USE Install the script via the BotGentz extension and navigate to any Vivid Seats event page or ticket search results. Fee transparency badges will appear automatically on every ticket listing. Each badge shows the total price, fee percentage, and a breakdown (base price + fees) with a color-coded background indicating the fee level. Listings with the lowest fees are marked with a star. The summary panel shows average fee percentage, total fees, and counts by fee category. Click the ↗ button next to any listing to open its details page in a new tab. Use the panel controls to customize your experience: toggle fee transparency badges on or off, show or hide the fee percentage, enable or disable the fee breakdown, show or hide the summary panel, or highlight listings with the lowest fees. The "Refresh" button manually rescans the page for updated ticket data, and the "Copy summary" button exports the fee summary to your clipboard. THE MECHANISM - PRICE EXTRACTION, FEE CALCULATION, AND COST BREAKDOWN VISUALIZATION This script identifies ticket data by scanning each listing using a cascading selector strategy. It extracts total prices from price elements, base prices from base price elements, and service fees from fee elements. When direct fee data is not available, the script calculates fees by subtracting the base price from the total price. When base price is not available, it estimates the base price as 80% of the total price (a common ratio for ticketing platforms). The fee percentage is calculated as (fees / base) × 100. The color category is determined by the fee percentage: low (35%). The badge is created as a DOM element with inline styles and inserted into the ticket price cell. The summary panel aggregates data and calculates the average fee percentage and total fees across all visible listings. THE PANEL The control panel appears as a floating, draggable element that you can position anywhere on the Vivid Seats page. Drag by the header to reposition it, and the position is saved per site using GM_setValue so it stays where you left it across sessions. Release the panel near any edge and it snaps into place, keeping your workspace organized. Click the panel header to collapse it into a small bubble showing only the chart emoji (📊), minimizing distraction while keeping controls accessible. Drag from the bubble to restore the full panel. The panel automatically resizes to fit its content and includes all setting toggles, action buttons, and a fee legend. Press the Escape key to quickly collapse the panel to its minimized state. The panel remains visible across page navigation within Vivid Seats, with fee transparency badges updating automatically as you move between event views. PLEASE NOTE This script requires the free BotGentz extension to function. It is designed for Vivid Seats users who need to understand ticket fees and find the best overall value. The script reads only visible ticket data from the DOM—it does not access Vivid Seats' API, your account credentials, or any sensitive information. All settings (badge visibility, fee percentage toggle, breakdown toggle, summary toggle, highlight toggle, and panel position) are stored locally using GM_setValue and never leave your browser. The script does not modify your Vivid Seats data—it only reads and visualizes visible ticket information. Fee calculations are based on the data available on the page; if direct fee data is not available, the script uses estimates that may not reflect the exact fees. If Vivid Seats updates its website structure, the script may need to be updated to match new selectors. The fee percentage summary is calculated from the listings currently visible on the page.
