HOW TO USE Install the script via the BotGentz extension and navigate to any Ahrefs rank tracker or keyword position page. Rank change badges will appear automatically on every keyword row. Each badge shows an arrow and the rank change value (e.g., ↑+3, ↓-2, →0) with a color-coded background. The summary panel appears above your keyword list showing total keywords, average rank, and counts of improved, declined, and unchanged keywords. THE MECHANISM - RANK EXTRACTION, CHANGE CALCULATION, AND PERFORMANCE SUMMARIZATION This script identifies keyword data by scanning each row using a cascading selector strategy. It extracts the keyword from keyword elements, current rank from rank or position elements, and previous rank from previous rank elements. When previous rank is not directly available, the script attempts to infer it from rank change indicators. The rank change is calculated as (previous rank - current rank), where positive values indicate improvement (the rank number decreased). The script tracks metrics including improved count (rankChange > 0), declined count (rankChange < 0), and unchanged count (rankChange === 0). Average rank is calculated across all keywords with valid current ranks. The trend indicator is determined by comparing the improved count against the declined count. The badge is created as a DOM element with inline styles and inserted into the keyword name cell. The summary panel aggregates data and calculates percentage distributions. THE PANEL The control panel appears as a floating, draggable element that you can position anywhere on the Ahrefs page. Drag by the header to reposition it, and the position is saved per site using GM_setValue so it stays where you left it across sessions. Release the panel near any edge and it snaps into place, keeping your workspace organized. Click the panel header to collapse it into a small bubble showing only the chart emoji (📊), minimizing distraction while keeping controls accessible. Drag from the bubble to restore the full panel. The panel automatically resizes to fit its content and includes all setting toggles, action buttons, and a legend. Press the Escape key to quickly collapse the panel to its minimized state. The panel remains visible across page navigation within Ahrefs, with rank change badges updating automatically as you move between projects and views. PLEASE NOTE This script requires the free BotGentz extension to function. It is designed for Ahrefs users who need to monitor keyword rank changes and SEO performance. The script reads only visible keyword data from the DOM—it does not access Ahrefs' API, your account credentials, or any sensitive information. All settings (badge visibility, summary toggle, detailed metrics toggle, trend toggle, and panel position) are stored locally using GM_setValue and never leave your browser. The script does not modify your Ahrefs data—it only reads and visualizes visible ranking information. Rank change calculations depend on the availability of both current and previous rank data; if previous rank is not available, the keyword may be categorized as unchanged. If Ahrefs updates its website structure, the script may need to be updated to match new selectors. The trend indicator is based on a simple improved vs declined comparison and should be used as a general guide, not a definitive performance metric.
