About this app

WHAT IT DOES

AI API Doc Summariser takes the pain out of reading dense technical documentation. Paste a URL or a text snippet from any REST, GraphQL, or SOAP API reference, and it returns a clear, plain‑language summary covering: the API’s core purpose and use case; the required authentication method (API key, OAuth, JWT, etc.); up to five key endpoints with their parameters and typical response structures; common error codes and how to handle them; and rate limits or usage quotas. All output is capped at 1,024 tokens, so you get a focused, actionable overview — not another novel. Whether you're integrating a payment gateway, a mapping service, or an internal microservice, this agent cuts through the noise and gets you to the important parts in seconds.

HOW TO USE

Open the agent in any BotSurf frame. Paste your API documentation text (or a URL) into the input box, then click “Summarise” or press Ctrl+Enter. The agent will process your input and display a structured summary in the output panel. You can also click “Use the page selection” to grab highlighted text from the current webpage — ideal when you have docs open in a separate tab or in the same view. The agent remembers your panel position across sessions (drag to reposition, snap to edges, collapse with Escape), and you can clear the input or output with one click. No setup, no configuration — just paste and go.

WHAT IT SENDS

When you press “Summarise”, the agent sends only the plain text content currently in the input box — nothing more, nothing less. It does not send your browsing history, page content, cookies, localStorage, or any other context unless you explicitly paste it into the field. If you use the “Use the page selection” button, the agent copies the selected text from the page into the input box, and that text is then sent exactly as if you had typed it. All transmissions are made over the BGAI bridge using the API key you have already provided to BotSurf; the agent itself does not store or cache your input. Usage logs record only the count of successful summarisation requests for billing purposes — they do not log the content of your queries or the generated responses. Your documentation and summaries remain private to your session.

SUBSCRIPTION

AI API Doc Summariser is available for $19.99 per month, which includes a 7‑day free trial and 100 summarisation runs per month. Unused runs do not roll over. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your BotSurf account settings. The trial starts automatically on first use, and you will not be billed until the trial ends. If you exceed the monthly run limit, additional runs will be blocked until the next billing cycle — you can upgrade your plan or purchase top‑ups through the BotSurf marketplace. There are no hidden fees, and your payment method will only be charged after the trial period.

THE PANEL

The agent runs as a floating panel inside BotSurf. Drag the header to reposition it anywhere on screen; it snaps to the nearest edge for a clean workspace. Collapse it to a small bubble with the ✨ emoji by pressing Escape or clicking the collapse handle — the bubble stays accessible and unobtrusive. Expand it again by clicking the bubble. The panel position is saved automatically via BGAI.setState, so it reappears where you left it across sessions. The panel’s accent colour (#38bdf8) and dark theme (bg #0f172a) ensure it’s legible even in bright or dim environments.

PLEASE NOTE

AI can make mistakes. Always verify critical information — especially authentication details, endpoint URLs, error codes, and rate limits — against the official API documentation. This agent provides general technical information and does not constitute professional advice. It is not a substitute for reading the full API reference, especially in regulated sectors such as finance, healthcare, or legal tech. Use at your own risk. For production systems, always test API calls in a sandbox environment before deployment.
