The AI Short Story Prompt Expander takes your prompt, idea, or theme and transforms it into a rich creative brief designed to spark your imagination. You provide the kernel of an idea, and the agent returns a complete expansion with a suggested protagonist (including name, goal, and flaw), a vivid setting with sensory details, a three-part plot structure (beginning, middle, and end), and key themes or questions to explore. The tone is inspiring and generative, helping you see the potential in your idea and giving you a solid foundation to start writing.

HOW TO USE

Open the agent in BotSurf from your library. After pasting your API key once (handled securely by the host), enter your short story prompt, idea, or theme into the text area. It can be as simple as a single sentence or a more detailed concept. Click "Expand prompt" or press Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac). The agent processes your input and returns a creative brief with character, setting, plot, and theme suggestions. You can also highlight a prompt from any webpage, document, or inspiration board and click "Use selection" to auto-fill. Copy the brief to your clipboard and use it as a springboard for your writing session.

WHAT IT SENDS

When you press "Expand prompt," the agent sends only the exact text you entered in the text area—your story prompt or idea. Nothing else. No browsing history, no cookies, no account data, no hidden telemetry. The request is a simple text prompt to the AI model. The host records usage counts for billing (each press counts as one run) but does not log or store the content of your prompts or generated creative briefs. Your ideas remain private.

THE PANEL

The agent runs in a draggable, resizable panel that snaps to screen edges. Collapse it to a floating bubble (✨) when you need more screen space, and expand it again with one click. Press Escape to close the panel. The panel remembers its position across sessions via secure state storage.
