WHAT IT DOES

Amazon Seller Central Fee Breakdown is a profit analysis tool that automatically extracts order and product data from Amazon Seller Central pages and calculates your true net profit after all fees and costs. It scans for selling price, shipping collected, and fee components including referral fees (Amazon's commission), FBA fulfillment fees, storage fees, advertising costs, and other miscellaneous charges. The tool computes total revenue, deducts all fees and adjustments (refunds, promotions), subtracts product cost and taxes, and displays your net profit per order and profit margin percentage. The results are presented in a clean panel overlay with a visual profit gauge, fee breakdown chart showing each fee category as a percentage of revenue, and unit economics summary. You can override the default product cost for each analysis and adjust tax rates to get an accurate picture of your true profitability.

WHERE IT RUNS

This script runs exclusively on Amazon Seller Central pages (sellercentral.amazon.com/*). It operates entirely within your browser tab, reading the page's DOM to extract order details, pricing, and fee information. The script cannot access other tabs, your browsing history, bookmarks, downloads, or any data outside the current Seller Central page. All settings—including default product cost, tax rate, currency symbol, and display preferences—are stored locally using GM_setValue and never transmitted anywhere.

HOW TO USE

After installing with the BotGentz extension, the script automatically analyzes any order or product page you view in Seller Central. The panel displays your net profit, total revenue, and a color-coded profit margin gauge. Below the summary, you'll see a detailed fee breakdown showing each fee category (referral, FBA, storage, advertising, other) with dollar amounts and percentages of revenue. The product cost input lets you override the default cost for specific items—enter the cost of goods sold and the analysis updates instantly. You can set a default product cost that applies to all orders. The currency selector supports USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, and CAD. Toggle the profit gauge and fee breakdown on or off based on your preferences. Click "Copy Analysis" to export the full report to your clipboard for record-keeping or sharing.

THE REAL MECHANISM

The script uses a multi-selector DOM extraction strategy to locate order data on Seller Central pages, which vary between different sections (Orders, Inventory, Payments). It queries for order IDs, product names, ASINs, selling prices, shipping amounts, and fee components using multiple selectors that match Amazon's various class names and data-testid attributes. Fee extraction looks for text containing "referral," "FBA," "storage," and "advertising" keywords, then parses dollar amounts using regular expressions. The calculation engine then computes total revenue (price + shipping), total fees (sum of all fee components), adjustments (refunds + promotions), net revenue (revenue - fees - adjustments), and net profit (net revenue - product cost - tax). The tax calculation applies the user-configured tax rate to the product cost. Profit margin is calculated as (net profit / revenue) * 100. The visual gauge maps the profit margin to a color gradient from red (loss) through yellow (break-even) to green (profitable). All currency values are formatted with the selected currency symbol.

THE PANEL

The Fee Breakdown panel is a BGPanel component that you can drag anywhere on your screen by its header. It snaps to the nearest edge when released, keeping your workspace organized. The panel collapses to a small bubble showing only the emoji icon when minimised—click to expand it again. You can resize the panel horizontally to see more of the fee breakdown and analysis. Press the Escape key to collapse the panel instantly. Your panel position and size are saved per-site, so it remembers where you like it on your Seller Central dashboard.

PLEASE NOTE

This script requires the free BotGentz browser extension to function. Amazon frequently updates Seller Central's interface, which may change class names, data-testid attributes, and DOM structure. If the script cannot find order data, use the "Analyze Current Page" button to retry extraction. The fee calculation is based on the data visible on the page—some fees may be calculated differently depending on your account type, product category, and specific fee policies. Always verify your actual fees against Amazon's official transaction reports. The script never reads or writes password fields, hidden inputs, or file inputs. It stores only your default product cost, tax rate, currency symbol, and display preferences locally. No order data, financial information, or personal data is ever collected, transmitted, or shared.
