About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Approval Diff Viewer Before Sign is your transaction safety tool that shows you exactly what will happen before you sign any transaction. It automatically intercepts pending transaction details from DEX swap and NFT marketplace confirmation pages, parsing calldata to extract token approvals, swap parameters, and recipient addresses. The tool displays a clear diff view showing changes to your balances, allowances, and approvals, comparing your current state against the proposed transaction effects. It highlights suspicious or unexpected parameters with color-coded warnings, provides risk indicators for high-value approvals and unlimited spend allowances, and supports one-click rejection or confirmation actions through the page interface.

WHERE IT RUNS

This script runs on all major DEX interfaces including Uniswap (app.uniswap.org), SushiSwap (app.sushi.com), 1inch (1inch.io), CowSwap (cow.fi), and major NFT marketplaces including OpenSea (opensea.io), Blur (blur.io), LooksRare (looksrare.org), Zora (zora.co), Rarible (rarible.com), and Foundation (foundation.app). It works on transaction confirmation pages, wallet approval dialogs, and any page displaying pending transaction details before signature.

HOW TO USE

Install the script through the BotGentz userscript manager. Click "Connect Wallet" to link your EVM wallet extension. Navigate to any supported DEX or marketplace and initiate a transaction. When the confirmation dialog appears, the tool automatically intercepts the pending transaction. The panel displays a complete approval diff view showing the transaction type, token, amount, spender address, risk level (Low/Medium/High), balance changes, and any warnings. Review the diff before signing—unlimited approvals and high-value transactions are flagged with clear warnings. Use the "Analyze Pending" button to manually trigger analysis if auto-scan is disabled.

TRANSACTION CALDATA PARSING AND RISK ASSESSMENT ENGINE

Unlike simple transaction previewers that only show what the page displays, this tool implements a sophisticated caldata parsing and risk assessment engine that extracts and analyzes transaction parameters from pending transaction data. The engine scans the page for transaction confirmation elements, extracts token approval details including spender addresses and allowance amounts, and identifies key transaction parameters such as swap amounts, recipient addresses, and approval limits. The risk assessment engine evaluates three critical factors: approval type (unlimited approvals flagged as high risk), transaction value (configurable threshold, default 1000 ETH), and spender reputation (unknown or suspicious addresses flagged). The diff calculator computes balance changes by querying the connected wallet for current balances and allowances, then projecting post-transaction states. All transactions are logged to persistent history, enabling users to review their approval patterns and identify potential security risks across sessions.

THE PANEL

The floating panel is fully draggable and snap-to-edge enabled. You can collapse it to a compact bubble when not in use, resize it to your preferred dimensions, and it remembers its position across page loads using persistent storage. Press Escape to quickly dismiss the panel. The panel displays transaction type, risk level with color-coded badge, token details, amount, spender address, balance diff, and any warnings. The panel also maintains a history of analyzed approvals for reference.

PLEASE NOTE

This script requires the free BotGentz extension to be installed in your browser—it does not run as a standalone extension. You also need a real EVM wallet extension already installed and configured for transaction interception. The tool cannot intercept transactions signed and submitted entirely within the wallet extension without page visibility and relies on the page exposing transaction data in a detectable format. Some wallet extensions may not expose pending transaction details to the page. No user data is collected or transmitted—all approval history stays local in your browser storage. The tool provides visual assistance for transaction review but does not guarantee detection of all malicious transaction parameters.
