About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Arbitrum Gas Rebate Tracker is a DeFi tool that watches the page for transaction confirmations and gas costs on Arbitrum, then calculates and displays the estimated gas rebate eligible for the user's transactions. It scans the page for transaction receipts, gas costs, and confirmation events, queries the connected EVM chain via window.ethereum for transaction details and gas usage, reads the current Arbitrum gas rebate rate from chain data or configuration, calculates rebate amounts based on transaction gas costs and the current rebate rate, tracks total gas spent, total rebate earned, and provides a live dashboard showing current rebate status and historical rebate accumulation.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying transaction confirmations and gas costs on Arbitrum, such as Arbitrum block explorers, DEX interfaces, wallet transaction history pages, and DeFi dashboard sites.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that displays transaction confirmations or gas costs on Arbitrum. Open the BotGentz extension and select Arbitrum Gas Rebate Tracker from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Click the "Connect Wallet" button to connect your EVM wallet (must be on Arbitrum chain). Click the "Track Current Page" button to detect and track transaction data from the page. The tool will display a live dashboard showing total gas spent, total rebate earned, net cost, and savings percentage. You can adjust the rebate rate in the settings, view recent transaction history, and set alert thresholds for rebate milestones. Use the "Refresh Display" button to update the dashboard and "Clear History" to reset tracked data.

TECHNICAL SECTION — GAS REBATE CALCULATION AND TRACKING

This tool uses a multi-stage pipeline for tracking gas rebates. First, it scans the page DOM for transaction receipts using regex patterns to detect gas costs, transaction hashes, and fee information. It extracts gas cost data from elements with gas-related class names and data attributes. Second, it connects to the EVM chain via window.ethereum to verify chain ID (must be Arbitrum 42161) and optionally query additional transaction details. Third, it stores transaction history in GM_setValue, including transaction hash, gas cost, gas used, timestamp, and chain ID. Fourth, it calculates rebate amounts using the configured rebate rate (default 30% for Arbitrum's gas rebate program). The rebate is calculated as: rebateAmount = totalGasCost * rebateRate. Fifth, it maintains running totals for total gas spent, total rebate earned, and net cost. Sixth, it displays a live dashboard showing these metrics along with transaction count and savings percentage. Seventh, it supports configurable display currency (ETH or USD) and alert thresholds for rebate milestones. Eighth, it provides a history view showing the last 10 tracked transactions with hashes, costs, and timestamps.

THE PANEL

The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and a real EVM wallet extension (such as MetaMask) already installed in your browser. It works with EVM-compatible chains, specifically designed for Arbitrum (chain ID 42161). Cannot guarantee rebate calculation accuracy if Arbitrum's rebate mechanism changes. Relies on the page exposing transaction gas costs and receipts in a detectable format. Cannot track transactions that do not display gas cost information. Rebate rates may vary based on network conditions and the specific transaction type. Does not account for third-party or protocol-specific rebates beyond the core Arbitrum mechanism. Websites change their transaction display formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the address and gas queries sent to the EVM network. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained.
