WHAT IT DOES
Arbitrum Sequencer Monitor provides comprehensive visibility into the operational state of the Arbitrum sequencer. It reads and displays sequencer status showing connected, active, or degraded states, sequencer health for operational monitoring, current block number with real-time updates, block timestamp for timing, sequencer batch count tracking total batches submitted, batch size for efficiency measurement, batch frequency for throughput analysis, sequencer gas price for transaction costing, L1 state root for verification, L2 state root for chain state, sequencer delayed messages count for pending messages, sequencer inbox state for message queue, sequencer outbox state for exit queue, sequencer congestion level for network health, transaction queue depth for backlog, average confirmation time for responsiveness, sequencer uptime for reliability, sequencer performance metrics for efficiency, sequencer fee data for cost planning, L1-to-L2 message status for cross-chain messages, L2-to-L1 message status for exits, bridge contract state for L1 integration, sequencer paused status for emergency conditions, sequencer last update time for freshness, historical sequencer performance for trend analysis, sequencer validator set for consensus, sequencer batch submission frequency for scheduling, and sequencer gas efficiency for optimization. HOW TO USE
Connect your wallet to the tool and select the network where your Arbitrum sequencer is running. Enter the sequencer RPC endpoint in the input field. Optionally provide the L1 bridge contract address for additional monitoring. Click "Monitor Sequencer" to connect to the sequencer and retrieve its operational state. The tool will query the sequencer for block height, batch count, gas price, transaction queue depth, confirmation time, uptime, paused status, and state roots. Results are displayed in organized cards showing sequencer status, health, block number, batch count, batch size, gas price, queue depth, confirmation time, uptime, paused status, and L1/L2 state roots. The tool works with any Arbitrum sequencer accessible via RPC endpoint.
THE MECHANISM
Arbitrum Sequencer Monitor performs client-side monitoring by querying the Arbitrum sequencer endpoint and aggregating state information from various sources. The tool connects to the sequencer RPC endpoint and queries chain information including block number and timestamp. Batch statistics are retrieved from sequencer batch submission data, including batch count and batch size. Gas price is obtained from the sequencer's fee oracle or gas estimation. Transaction queue depth is determined from the sequencer's pending transaction pool. Confirmation time is derived from average block production and batch submission intervals. Uptime is calculated from the sequencer's availability over recent periods. L1 state root and L2 state root are obtained from the bridge contract state. Delayed messages count, inbox state, and outbox state are retrieved from the sequencer's message management components. The tool simulates the process of connecting to a sequencer node, establishing a client, and querying multiple components efficiently.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
Arbitrum Sequencer Monitor cannot verify that the sequencer is actually processing transactions honestly without comparing with L1 data, as that requires cross-verification. The tool cannot detect if the sequencer is censoring specific transactions, as censorship detection requires transaction tracing. It cannot prove that the sequencer's state matches the actual L2 chain state without running a full node. The tool cannot predict sequencer downtime or performance issues, as those depend on future conditions. It cannot guarantee that the sequencer will remain operational or responsive, as network conditions may change. The tool also cannot detect if the sequencer is compromised or if the RPC endpoint is providing stale data.

Sequencer monitoring results are for observation and diagnostics only. The tool is free to use and does not store or transmit any sequencer data off-device.
