WHAT IT DOES

Attendee List Copier is a browser extension that automatically scans the current webpage for attendee names, participant lists, RSVP data, guest rosters, and registration lists. It detects attendee-related elements by examining class names, IDs, data attributes, and text patterns for keywords like "attendee", "participant", "guest", "rsvp", "registrant", or "roster". The extension adds a floating "bulk copy" button (👤) next to each detected attendee element, allowing you to select individual attendees for bulk collection, capture attendee name, email address, and RSVP status. Clicking the button toggles the selection state, and selected attendees are added to a bulk collection. The main panel allows you to copy all selected attendees in four formats: comma-separated (Name, Email), newline-separated (one per line), CSV with headers, or a formatted bullet list. The panel also displays saved attendee history with names, emails, statuses, notes, and tags. The extension maintains an attendee database per attendee with copy history, notes, and tags for each tracked person. All data is stored locally in your browser using GM_setValue, ensuring your attendee collections persist across page reloads and browser sessions. This helps event organizers, meeting planners, conference coordinators, and anyone managing guest lists to quickly copy attendee information for check-in, communications, seating arrangements, or reporting.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension runs on any webpage that displays attendee names, participant lists, RSVP data, guest rosters, or registration lists – including event management platforms, meeting registration pages, conference tools, party planning apps, webinar platforms, and any page containing attendee information. The extension intelligently adapts to different page structures and supports a wide range of common attendee display patterns. No manual configuration is required per site; the extension automatically detects attendee elements using a flexible pattern matching system. This makes it ideal for event organizers, meeting planners, and anyone who needs to copy attendee lists efficiently.

HOW TO USE

Simply install the extension and navigate to any webpage displaying attendee information. The extension automatically detects attendee elements and places a small "bulk copy" button (👤) next to each one. Click any of these buttons to select that attendee for bulk copying – the button highlights to show it's selected. Click it again to deselect. As you select attendees, a counter at the bottom-right shows how many you've collected. When ready, click the floating button (📋) to open the main panel. Choose your preferred output format (comma-separated, newline-separated, CSV with headers, or formatted bullet list), then click "Copy Selected Attendees" to copy all collected attendees to your clipboard in the selected format. The panel also displays your saved attendee history for reference. Add notes about dietary restrictions, special requests, seating arrangements, or any other relevant detail when saving attendee information. Use the settings section to enable or disable auto-detection and set your preferred default copy format. The "Clear All Attendees" button removes all tracking data when needed.

ONE TECHNICAL SECTION – WHY IT WORKS

The extension employs a multi-layered detection system that identifies attendee information with high accuracy. First, it scans the DOM using a comprehensive set of CSS selectors targeting common attendee-related class patterns, IDs, and data attributes like "attendee", "participant", "guest", "rsvp", "registrant", and "roster". Second, it uses a TreeWalker to examine text nodes for attendee-like patterns (names and email addresses), capturing attendee information that may not be wrapped in typical attendee elements. The attendee name extraction uses pattern matching with multiple strategies: detecting text following "name:", "attendee:", or "participant:", validating name formats, and using data attributes. The email extraction identifies email addresses using regex patterns and mailto: links. The status extraction analyzes text content for RSVP status keywords (Confirmed/Pending/Declined/Waitlist/Checked In) and data attributes. Each tracked attendee is assigned a unique ID based on the attendee name and email, ensuring that history stays correctly associated even when the same person appears in different contexts. The selection state is managed client-side in memory, and a MutationObserver detects dynamic content updates and re-scans only when new attendee elements appear, balancing real-time accuracy with system performance.

THE PANEL – DRAG / PER-SITE POSITION / SNAP / COLLAPSE / RESIZE / ESCAPE

The attendee list bulk copy panel includes a draggable title bar, allowing you to position it anywhere on screen for convenient access during event planning. The extension remembers your preferred position per website, so the panel opens in the same location each time you return to that domain. The panel supports snap-to-edge behavior – when dragged near screen edges, it gently snaps into place for a tidy workspace layout. You can collapse the panel down to just its title bar by clicking the collapse button, keeping it accessible without taking up screen space. The attendee list and history are contained within a scrollable body, ensuring all content remains accessible even on smaller screens. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel instantly, returning you to your event planning workflow.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to be installed and enabled, as it relies on BotGentz's userscript injection and GM_* API shims for cross-browser compatibility. Websites frequently update their HTML structures and class names, which may cause attendee detection to break temporarily – we actively maintain the matching patterns and release updates regularly. The extension stores all attendee data, copy history, and notes exclusively in your local browser storage (GM_setValue); no data is ever transmitted to any external server or third party. You are responsible for backing up your attendee tracking data if you switch browsers or clear your storage. The extension does not read, modify, or interfere with any event management systems, registration data, or site functionality – it operates solely on the static page content and stores only metadata (attendee names, emails, statuses, and notes) that you explicitly create. Use this tool responsibly for internal event planning and guest management purposes.
