WHAT IT DOES

The Auto-Approval Prompt Explainer reads a pending approve() or setApprovalForAll() transaction and translates it into plain, simple language—before you sign. You enter the token address, spender address, and allowance amount—the tool reads the token symbol, your current balance, your current allowance for that spender, the spender's contract code and verification status, and estimates the gas cost. It then uses AI to generate a clear explanation covering what the approval does, whether it's new or a renewal, whether it's unlimited or capped, how it compares to your balance, the spender type, the gas cost, and what to consider before signing.

HOW TO USE

1. Connect your EVM wallet (required to read your balance, allowance, and gas estimates).

2. Select the chain (Ethereum, Polygon, or Arbitrum).

3. Enter the token contract address, spender address, and allowance amount.

4. Optionally set the token decimals (defaults to 18).

5. Click "Explain approval" to fetch all data and generate an explanation.

6. Review the plain‑language explanation alongside the raw data.

7. The wallet's own signature prompt will still appear—this tool only informs you.

THE REAL MECHANISM — comprehensive on‑chain data collection with AI‑powered plain‑language explanation

This tool reads from multiple on‑chain sources: `symbol()` for the token name, `balanceOf()` for your current balance, `allowance()` for your current approved amount, `eth_getCode` for spender contract detection and verification status, and `eth_estimateGas` plus `eth_gasPrice` to compute the estimated gas cost in ETH. It builds a detailed structured prompt for the AI bridge (BGAI.generate) containing all these factors—token, spender, allowance, balance, current allowance, spender verification status, gas cost, and whether it's a renewal or new approval. The AI returns a plain‑language explanation that synthesizes these factors into clear, actionable guidance.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

- This tool cannot read the exact intent behind the approval—only the on‑chain parameters.

- It cannot determine if the spender contract is malicious with certainty.

- It cannot detect approvals that are submitted through a wallet interface without page interaction.

- It cannot read off‑chain agreements or promises related to the approval.

- It cannot decode custom function signatures that are not in the standard ABI set.

- It cannot prevent you from signing a transaction—it only provides information.
