About this app

WHAT IT DOES

The Barrier Option Knock-In Checker-and-Executor provides a comprehensive interface for monitoring and executing barrier options. You specify the barrier option contract, underlying asset, and option ID (or let the tool auto-detect your position). The tool reads your option's strike price, barrier level, premium paid, current status, and knock-in status. It then checks the current underlying price and recent price history to determine if the barrier has been breached. If the knock-in condition is met, the tool enables you to execute the knock-in in a single transaction, converting the barrier option into a standard option that can be exercised for profit.

HOW TO USE

Connect your EVM wallet and select your network. Enter the barrier option contract address and the underlying asset address. Specify the option ID — enter 0 to automatically detect your most recent active barrier option. Click "Check & preview" to see your option details, including strike price, barrier level, current price, premium paid, and knock-in status. The tool also shows recent price history to help you understand market context. If the knock-in condition is met, the "Execute knock-in" button becomes active. Click it to execute the knock-in in a single transaction, converting your barrier option to a standard option. Progress is shown in real-time, and gas costs are calculated accurately using effectiveGasPrice.

ONE TECHNICAL SECTION — THE REAL MECHANISM

The tool interacts with a barrier option contract that implements knock-in functionality — options that become active only when the underlying asset price crosses a predetermined barrier level. The getOption() function returns the option's strike, barrier level, premium, status, and knock-in status for a given user and ID. The checkKnockIn() function evaluates the current and historical price data to determine if the barrier has been breached — this may involve checking a rolling window of price observations to confirm the knock-in condition. The getPriceHistory() function retrieves recent prices to provide context. Once the knock-in is triggered, the executeKnockIn() function converts the barrier option to a standard option by updating its status and enabling exercise functionality. This ensures that the knock-in is executed at the appropriate time based on market conditions.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

The tool cannot predict future price movements or guarantee barrier event occurrence. It does not evaluate market conditions, the probability of the barrier being breached, or the optimal timing for execution. It cannot detect if the pricing oracle is inaccurate or if the barrier level was set incorrectly. It does not provide financial advice or ensure that the knock-in will be profitable. The tool also cannot recover options that have expired without the barrier being breached — monitoring and execution are the user's responsibility.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool is EVM-only and supports Ethereum, Goerli, Sepolia, Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Base. It does not support Solana, Tron, Starknet, SUI, TON, Aptos, Bitcoin, Cosmos, or XRP. Barrier options involve complex payoff structures and may result in the option expiring worthless if the barrier is not breached. The knock-in condition is determined by the contract's oracle and price history — ensure you understand the contract's specific knock-in rules. The tool is provided free and as-is; users assume full responsibility for their trading decisions and understanding of barrier option mechanics.
