It simulates builder profitability by estimating revenue from gas fees, MEV opportunities, and block rewards, and comparing against operating costs. The output includes a profitability status (Profitable, Break-even, or Loss), estimated revenue, estimated profit, a detailed revenue matrix showing each revenue source's contribution (gas fees, MEV revenue, block rewards) with percentage breakdowns, and actionable recommendations for improving profitability—such as optimizing hardware costs, increasing transaction volume, or adding MEV extraction strategies. This enables block builder operators, MEV searchers, and infrastructure engineers to assess and optimize builder profitability before deploying or scaling operations.
HOW TO USE
Connect your BGWallet to the target EVM chain. Paste the address of the block builder contract you wish to analyze. Provide mempool data as a JSON object containing pending transactions, transaction count, base fee, average gas price, and MEV opportunities. Provide cost parameters as a JSON object containing hardware cost, bandwidth cost, labor cost, and gas cost. Optionally supply a GitHub repository URL to pull builder implementation details and profitability specifications for additional context. The tool fetches the builder contract's bytecode and state, analyzes the mempool data and cost parameters, and generates a comprehensive profitability simulation. Review the profitability status, estimated revenue, estimated profit, revenue breakdown matrix, and recommendations. Use the results to optimize your builder operations and improve profitability.
BLOCK BUILDER PROFITABILITY MODELING AND OPTIMIZATION ENGINE
The real technical mechanism is the block builder profitability modeling and optimization engine that combines builder contract analysis with market data and cost modeling. The tool first retrieves the builder contract's bytecode and analyzes the builder's revenue model—identifying how the builder earns fees from transactions, MEV extraction, and block rewards. It then processes mempool data to estimate the potential transaction volume, gas fees, and MEV opportunities available to the builder. The revenue simulation calculates gas revenue as transaction count × average gas price × 21,000 gas per transaction (approximate base cost), MEV revenue based on the number and type of MEV opportunities (arbitrage, sandwich, liquidation, etc.), and block rewards from the network. The cost model incorporates hardware costs (server infrastructure), bandwidth costs (data transmission), labor costs (operations and maintenance), and gas costs (transaction fees for bundle submission). The profit is calculated as total revenue minus total costs, with profitability status determined by the profit margin: Profitable (>0.5 ETH), Break-even (-0.1 to 0.5 ETH), or Loss (
