WHAT IT DOES
Bridge Transaction Status Explainer checks your cross-chain bridge transaction and explains its current status in plain English. The tool reads the transaction receipt from the source chain to determine whether the transaction succeeded, how many confirmations it has, gas used, and the bridge contract address. It also parses the transaction logs to detect the bridge protocol type, identify the token and amount being bridged, and extract destination chain and address information when available. The tool then uses AI to generate a plain-language explanation of your transaction status: whether it has been confirmed on the source chain, what assets were bridged (token and amount), where they are going, how many confirmations it has, expected wait time for completion, and what you should do next. Results include a clear status summary, confirmation count, bridge protocol detection, and a comprehensive AI-generated explanation written in clear, conversational language. The tool operates entirely read-only — no transactions are sent, no signatures are required. The AI explanation is designed to help you understand where your funds are in the bridging process and what to expect next.
HOW TO USE
Connect your EVM wallet using the "Connect" button in the header. Select the network where the bridge transaction was sent from the dropdown menu. Enter the transaction hash of your bridge transaction in the input field. Optionally enter the destination transaction hash (if you have one) and the destination chain name to help the tool provide a more complete status explanation. Click "Explain transaction status" to begin the analysis. The tool fetches the transaction receipt from the source chain, checks the status, retrieves confirmations, parses logs for bridge information, and sends the data to the AI for a plain-English status explanation. Results appear within seconds, showing the transaction hash, chain, status, confirmations, bridge protocol, token information, destination details, and a comprehensive AI-generated explanation of your transaction status and next steps.
LOG PARSING AND BRIDGE PROTOCOL DETECTION
The tool uses event log analysis to extract bridge transaction details and detect the protocol. It scans the transaction receipt logs for known bridge event signatures including Across (TokensBridged, V3FundsDeposited), Arbitrum and Optimism bridge events, Hop Protocol (TransferSent), Polygon Bridge (StateSynced), Stargate (Send, Receive), and others. When an event signature matches a known bridge protocol, the tool identifies the protocol and attempts to extract token and amount information from event topics. The tool also extracts the transaction status from the receipt, calculates confirmations from the current block number, and tracks gas usage information. If the user provides a destination chain name or destination transaction hash, the tool includes that in the explanation. The AI receives all this data and is prompted to provide a plain-language status explanation — stating whether the transaction has been confirmed on the source chain, what assets were bridged, where they are going, how many confirmations it has, the expected wait time for completion, and what the user should do next. The AI is also instructed to state plainly what it cannot verify — that it reads on-chain data from the source chain and any provided destination data, not the bridge's operational status, relay validation, or off-chain infrastructure reliability.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
This tool cannot definitively determine if a bridge transaction has fully succeeded on the destination chain — only reads source chain finality. It cannot monitor destination chain claim status if the user does not provide the destination tx hash or contract — the tool has no automatic cross-chain monitoring. The tool cannot detect off-chain relay failures not reflected in logs — relayers may fail without leaving on-chain evidence. It cannot verify that funds will actually be delivered if the bridge has been compromised — the source chain success does not guarantee destination delivery. The tool cannot predict exact arrival times — bridge wait times vary by protocol and network conditions. The tool cannot detect bridge front-running attacks or MEV risks. The tool cannot detect if the destination bridge contract is compromised. The tool cannot verify that the destination address is correct. The tool cannot detect if the bridge protocol is experiencing issues or delays.
