About this app

WHAT IT DOES

This tool connects to your MetaMask wallet and checks your outstanding loan debt across multiple lending protocols. You provide the contract addresses of the lending pools you use. The tool attempts to read your debt balance using multiple common lending patterns — borrowBalanceOf, debtBalance, getUserBorrowBalance, and borrowBalance — to support a wide variety of lending contract designs. It then fetches current token prices from CoinGecko to estimate the USD value of your debt, and displays a summary with your outstanding amounts and total debt value.

HOW TO USE

Connect your MetaMask wallet using the Connect button. In the text area, enter the contract addresses of the lending protocols you want to check, one per line. Use the preset buttons (Aave V3, Compound, Morpho, Maker) to quickly add popular Ethereum lending contracts. Click "Check Loans" to read your positions. The tool will attempt multiple reading patterns and display each loan with your outstanding debt amount, token symbol, estimated USD value, and the method used to read it. A total debt value is also shown.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool uses the BGWallet bridge to access the blockchain provider via ethers.js. For each lending contract address you provide, it attempts a series of common debt reading patterns in order: borrowBalanceOf, debtBalance, getUserBorrowBalance, borrowBalance, and getBorrowBalance. Each pattern is tried sequentially, and the first successful read that returns a non-zero debt balance is used. This multi-pattern approach allows the tool to work with a wide variety of lending contract designs — from Aave and Compound to Morpho and Maker — without requiring protocol-specific ABIs. Once a debt balance is found, the tool attempts to read the contract's symbol and decimals using the standard ERC-20 interface, falling back to defaults if those methods fail. It then fetches current USD prices from CoinGecko for each unique token symbol and calculates the USD value of each debt position.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot read loan positions from protocols not explicitly configured by the user — it only checks the addresses you provide. It cannot automatically discover loan positions without user-provided contract addresses. It cannot read positions from non-EVM networks like Solana or Bitcoin. It cannot decode complex protocol state without protocol-specific ABIs beyond the common patterns it tries. It cannot provide historical interest rates or payment schedules. It cannot display positions across multiple networks in one view without switching networks. It cannot account for positions in protocols that use non-standard patterns or proxy contracts. It cannot provide real-time price data if the CoinGecko API is unavailable. It cannot detect collateralization ratios without protocol-specific view functions. It cannot show your available borrowing capacity or health factor.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool works only with EVM-compatible wallets connected via the BGWallet bridge. The preset addresses are for Ethereum mainnet — they will not work on other networks. Always verify that you are on the correct network for the protocols you are checking. Prices are fetched from CoinGecko and may be delayed. The tool does not store or transmit any data — all processing occurs in your browser. This tool is provided as a loan position viewer utility and does not provide trading, borrowing, or investment advice. Always verify your debt positions directly on the protocol's official interface for important decisions.
