About this app

WHAT IT DOES

This tool establishes a secure bridge between your Trezor hardware wallet and the Web3 ecosystem through the EVM wallet bridge. It reads your wallet address and chain ID, displays network compatibility, and verifies that your Trezor is properly connected and recognized by the wallet connector. While it does not initiate transactions, it provides real-time status information about your hardware wallet's connection state, including the network you are currently on and whether your wallet is correctly identified as a Trezor device.

The tool checks for Trezor-specific provider flags and hardware wallet indicators within the wallet bridge, giving you immediate visual confirmation that your hardware wallet is ready for signing operations. It displays the chain ID, network name, and wallet type, ensuring you have full visibility before performing any critical operations.

HOW TO USE

Connect your Trezor device to your computer and unlock it. Open the tool and click the "connect" button, which triggers the wallet bridge to detect your Trezor through your browser's Web3 provider (such as MetaMask with Trezor integration). The tool will automatically display your address, chain ID, and network name. A green status indicator confirms successful connection, and a dedicated Trezor info panel appears when the device is detected.

For the best experience, use a Web3 wallet that supports hardware devices, such as MetaMask with Trezor enabled. The tool does not require you to sign any transactions, so you can safely verify your connection status without committing to any on-chain actions.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM — DETECTION THROUGH BRIDGE INSPECTION

The tool detects Trezor connections by inspecting the provider object exposed through the BGWallet bridge. It checks for Trezor-specific properties such as "isTrezor", "_isTrezor", or "isHardwareWallet" flags that are commonly set by wallet providers when a hardware device is in use. Additionally, it evaluates the provider's constructor name and nested provider objects for hardware wallet indicators. This multi-layered detection ensures accurate identification across different wallet implementations and versions.

The wallet bridge itself handles the low-level communication with the Trezor device through WebUSB or WebHID protocols. When the wallet bridge establishes a connection, it exposes the hardware wallet's capabilities through the standard ethers.js provider interface, allowing the tool to read addresses and chain information without requiring direct interaction with the Trezor API.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot manage or recover your Trezor device state, including seed phrases, PIN codes, or recovery seeds. It does not display your wallet balances, transaction history, or any token holdings. It cannot interact with non-EVM chains such as Solana, Bitcoin, Cosmos, or Tron, as the wallet bridge only supports EVM-compatible networks. The tool cannot initiate or sign transactions without explicit user approval on the Trezor hardware device itself. It also cannot detect Trezor devices that are not properly unlocked or are connected through incompatible wallet software.

PLEASE NOTE — EVM CHAINS ONLY

This tool works exclusively with EVM-compatible blockchain networks including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, BNB Smart Chain, and Base. It does not support Bitcoin, Solana, Cosmos, Polkadot, or any non-EVM chains. If you attempt to connect through an unsupported network, the wallet bridge may fail to detect your Trezor device or return an invalid chain ID. Always verify that your wallet is connected to a supported EVM network before using this tool.
