Cross-Chain Read-Call Executor is a specialized Developer Tools application that executes cross-chain read calls with proof verification, batch reads, and cross-chain message state tracking. It reads source chain contract state, destination chain contract state, and bridge contract state to facilitate cross-chain data retrieval. The tool fetches the user's address and authorization status, read call parameters, target contract addresses, function signatures, and calldata. It reads the read result state, cross-chain message state, oracle price feeds, chain ID, gas price, block timestamp, and transaction nonce. The tool also reads execution eligibility, read history, bridge validator state, and proof verification status. It supports four key actions: executing a cross-chain read call, batch reading multiple contracts, verifying the proof of a read result, and checking read status.

HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet and select your network from the dropdown. Paste the source chain bridge contract address, destination chain bridge contract address, and the destination chain target contract address. Click "Check Read Status" to verify the current read call state, message status, and eligibility. The tool displays read call parameters, function signature, calldata, read result, cross-chain message state, execution eligibility, proof verification status, validator state, and read history. To execute a read call, enter the function signature and calldata, then click "Execute Read Call". To read multiple contracts simultaneously, click "Batch Read". To verify the proof of a read result, click "Verify Proof". The action preview shows the function, calldata, action type, and authorization status before submission.

CROSS-CHAIN READ AND PROOF VERIFICATION ENGINE

The tool implements a comprehensive cross-chain read engine that executes read calls on destination chains and verifies the results. It reads the readCallParameters from the bridge contract to display the target address, calldata, and chain ID for each call. The tool reads functionSignature and calldata to show the exact call being made. It reads readResult to display the returned data from the destination chain, and crossChainMessageState to track the message status (pending, executed, verified, or failed). The tool reads executionEligible to confirm the user is authorized to execute the read call. For proof verification, the tool reads proofVerificationStatus to display whether the proof has been validated, and validatorState to ensure the bridge validators are operational. When executing a read call, the tool constructs an executeReadCall transaction with the target address, calldata, and chain ID—the bridge contract sends the read request to the destination chain and returns the result. For batch reads, the tool calls batchReadCall with arrays of targets and calldatas. For proof verification, the tool calls verifyProof with the call ID and proof data, which validates the merkle proof or state proof against the destination chain's state root. The tool reads readHistory to track all read calls initiated by the user. Gas estimation uses the provider's fee data with a safety multiplier, and the tool validates that the user has authorization before allowing execution.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that the read result is current or accurate due to cross-chain latency or block timing differences. It cannot detect if the destination chain state has changed between read execution and verification. It cannot guarantee that the read call will succeed if the destination chain is congested or if the contract state changes. It cannot recover gas costs if the read fails or reverts. It cannot verify that the proof is valid beyond on-chain verification mechanisms. It cannot provide financial or investment advice. It cannot ensure that the read result will be consistent across chains. It cannot detect if the bridge validators are compromised or colluding. It cannot predict cross-chain confirmation times. It cannot verify off-chain read requirements or data processing rules.

This tool supports EVM-compatible chains only. It requires an active RPC connection and a wallet with signing capabilities. The tool does not custodial funds or private keys. Always verify the read call parameters and authorization before executing. Proof verification may require additional gas and time. Batch reads may consume more gas but save on multiple transactions.
