WHAT IT DOES
Crypto Exchange Withdraw Tracker helps you verify if a transaction originated from a known cryptocurrency exchange. You provide a transaction hash or wallet address, and the tool checks against a curated list of known exchange hot wallet addresses. It displays whether the transaction came from an exchange, the exchange name, confirmation status, and transaction details. This is essential for traders, investors, and users who want to track withdrawals, verify that funds have been sent from the correct exchange, or identify exchange addresses. It reads the current network chain ID from your wallet provider to ensure queries are directed to the correct chain.
HOW TO USE
Connect your wallet using the "Connect" button (required for RPC access). Select the target network (Ethereum Mainnet, Sepolia, Polygon, BSC, Arbitrum, Optimism, and testnets are supported). Enter a transaction hash or wallet address. Optionally select a specific exchange to filter results. Click "Track withdrawal" — the tool will query the chain and check the input against known exchange addresses. The entire operation is read-only — no transactions are signed or sent.
TECHNICAL MECHANISM
The tool maintains a list of known exchange hot wallet addresses for major exchanges (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Bitfinex, Huobi, OKX, Bybit, Gate.io, KuCoin). It checks if the provided transaction's source address or the provided wallet address matches any of these known addresses. If the input is a transaction hash, it fetches the transaction details using provider.getTransaction and checks the `from` field. If the input is a wallet address, it checks if that address is in the exchange list. The tool uses ethers.js v5.7.2 to interact with the chain via the wallet's provider. All calls are view functions — no state is modified.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
The tool cannot verify if the withdrawal was processed by the exchange's internal systems — it only checks if the source address is a known exchange wallet. It cannot detect withdrawals from exchanges that use dynamic hot wallet addresses or non-standard patterns. It is limited by RPC provider availability and the accuracy of the exchange address list. It cannot track withdrawals on non-EVM chains. It cannot track withdrawals that use smart contracts or proxy patterns for withdrawal addresses.
