About this app
WHAT IT DOES
The DAO Contributor Payout Tool enables DAOs to execute batch payouts to multiple contributors in a single transaction. Contributor compensation is a critical operational function for DAOs, enabling efficient distribution of rewards, salaries, and bounties to community members and contributors. This tool provides a streamlined interface to execute contributor payouts with configurable amounts, batch processing, and automatic handling of token transfers.
The tool reads DAO treasury state, contributor payout state, payout parameters, contributor addresses, token balances, payout amounts, payout schedules, payout status, approval status, and payout history. It supports executing payouts to multiple contributors in a single batch transaction, with automatic handling of token approvals and transfer execution. The tool also checks payout approval status and treasury balance before execution.
HOW TO USE
1. Connect your wallet using the Connect button. The tool automatically detects your connected address and network.
2. Select the network where your payout contract is deployed. The tool checks the BotGentz sender contract registry for the current chain.
3. Enter the DAO payout contract address, the payout batch ID, and the payment token address.
4. Enter the contributor addresses (comma-separated) and the corresponding payout amounts (comma-separated, matching order).
5. Configure your slippage tolerance percentage for the payout transaction.
6. Click "Load payout batch" to verify the batch exists and is approved.
7. Review the payout details in the preview panel including contract, batch ID, payment token, contributors, and amounts.
8. Click "Execute Payout" to submit the payout transaction through your wallet.
9. The tool will handle token approvals (if required) and execute all transfers in a batch transaction.
TECHNICAL MECHANISM
The tool uses the BotGentz shared sender contract to execute batch transfers for contributor payouts. First, it reads the payout state to verify the batch exists, is approved, and that the caller is authorized to execute. The tool validates that the total payout amount does not exceed the remaining batch balance or treasury balance. It then checks the DAO treasury's balance of the payment token and approves the sender contract for the exact total amount. The tool executes all transfers in a single batch transaction, sending the specified amounts to each contributor address. The payout contract's state is updated to reflect the payouts, recording the paid amounts and updating the remaining batch balance. Each payout is tracked with the contributor address for auditing purposes.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
This tool cannot verify that the price feed is accurate or reliable; it relies on the payout contract's internal state. It cannot detect if the oracle has been compromised or manipulated. It cannot ensure that contributor payout will execute at the optimal price due to slippage, market volatility, and block timing. It cannot guarantee that payout will succeed if the treasury balance is insufficient. It cannot verify that the payout contract has not been upgraded or modified. It cannot detect if the payout path is optimal or if the transaction is being front-run by malicious actors. It cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs, insufficient approvals, out-of-gas errors, or blockchain reorgs. It cannot verify that contributor addresses are legitimate or not. It cannot predict market movements, price gaps, or flash crashes that may affect payout value. It cannot guarantee execution during extreme network congestion, high gas prices, or volatile market conditions. It cannot detect if the underlying treasury protocol has been compromised. It cannot prevent the user from canceling or modifying payout parameters through other interfaces. It cannot ensure that payouts are approved by governance—this is a separate off-chain process. It cannot guarantee that contribution amounts are accurate or verified.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool is designed for EVM-compatible blockchains supported by the BotGentz sender contract (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BSC, Avalanche, Fantom, and others). It requires an active wallet connection and sufficient native currency for gas fees. Always verify the payout contract address, batch ID, contributor addresses, and amounts before executing. The tool is provided as-is with no warranty; users assume full responsibility for their transactions and should exercise caution when executing contributor payouts. For mainnet usage, ensure the payout contract has been audited and you understand the risks of contributor payouts including insufficient funds, gas costs, and smart contract risks.
