About this app

WHAT IT DOES

The DAO Grant Disbursement Tool enables DAOs to disburse approved grants to multiple recipients in a single batch transaction. Grant disbursement is a critical operational function for DAOs, enabling efficient distribution of funds to grant recipients, contributors, and ecosystem participants. This tool provides a streamlined interface to disburse grants with configurable recipient addresses, amounts, and vesting schedule enforcement.

The tool reads DAO treasury state, grant proposal state, grant parameters, recipient addresses, token balances, vesting schedules, grant amounts, grant status, disbursement schedule, approval status, and already disbursed amounts. It supports disbursing grants to multiple recipients in a single batch transaction, with automatic handling of token approvals and transfer execution. The tool also checks vesting schedules and grant approval status before disbursement.

HOW TO USE

1. Connect your wallet using the Connect button. The tool automatically detects your connected address and network.

2. Select the network where your grant contract is deployed. The tool checks the BotGentz sender contract registry for the current chain.

3. Enter the DAO grant contract address, the grant ID or proposal ID, and the payment token address.

4. Enter the recipient addresses (comma-separated) and the corresponding amounts (comma-separated, matching order).

5. Configure your slippage tolerance percentage for the disbursement transaction.

6. Click "Load grant" to verify the grant exists and is approved.

7. Review the grant details in the preview panel including contract, grant ID, payment token, recipients, and amounts.

8. Click "Disburse Grant" to submit the disbursement transaction through your wallet.

9. The tool will handle token approvals (if required) and execute all transfers in a batch transaction.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool uses the BotGentz shared sender contract to execute batch transfers for grant disbursement. First, it reads the grant state to verify the grant exists, is approved, and that the caller is authorized to disburse. The tool validates that the total disbursement amount does not exceed the remaining grant balance and that vesting schedules are respected (if applicable). It then checks the DAO treasury's balance of the payment token and approves the sender contract for the exact total amount. The tool executes all transfers in a single batch transaction, sending the specified amounts to each recipient address. The grant contract's state is updated to reflect the disbursement, recording the disbursed amounts and updating the remaining balance.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that the price feed is accurate or reliable; it relies on the grant contract's internal state. It cannot detect if the oracle has been compromised or manipulated. It cannot ensure that grant disbursement will execute at the optimal price due to slippage, market volatility, and block timing. It cannot guarantee that disbursement will succeed if the treasury balance is insufficient. It cannot verify that the grant contract has not been upgraded or modified. It cannot detect if the disbursement path is optimal or if the transaction is being front-run by malicious actors. It cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs, insufficient approvals, out-of-gas errors, or blockchain reorgs. It cannot verify that recipient addresses are legitimate or not. It cannot predict market movements, price gaps, or flash crashes that may affect disbursement value. It cannot guarantee execution during extreme network congestion, high gas prices, or volatile market conditions. It cannot detect if the underlying treasury protocol has been compromised. It cannot prevent the user from canceling or modifying disbursement parameters through other interfaces. It cannot ensure that grants are approved by governance—this is a separate off-chain process. It cannot guarantee that vesting schedules are correctly enforced.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool is designed for EVM-compatible blockchains supported by the BotGentz sender contract (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BSC, Avalanche, Fantom, and others). It requires an active wallet connection and sufficient native currency for gas fees. Always verify the grant contract address, grant ID, recipient addresses, and amounts before executing. The tool is provided as-is with no warranty; users assume full responsibility for their transactions and should exercise caution when disbursing grants. For mainnet usage, ensure the grant contract has been audited and you understand the risks of grant disbursement including insufficient funds, gas costs, and smart contract risks.
