About this app

WHAT IT DOES

The Delegate Slashing Executor enables execution of slashing penalties against delegates for misbehavior in staking protocols. It reads comprehensive state from staking and slashing contracts including delegate address, staked amount, slashing eligibility, slashing percentage, slashing amount, slashing status (pending, executed, appealed, failed), slashing history, appeal status, execution delay, delegate performance metrics, and slashing windows. Users can execute slashing using multiple methods: slashDelegate with percentage and evidence, executeSlashing with window and reason code, applySlashing with remove option, or penalizeDelegate with force option. The tool displays slashing history including executor addresses, amounts, reasons, and status, providing complete visibility into delegate accountability.

HOW TO USE

Connect your Web3 wallet and paste the slashing/staking contract address. The tool never hardcodes addresses—you specify the contract you're vouching for. Enter the delegate address to slash, select the slashing method, and specify the slashing percentage (0-100%). Provide misbehavior evidence or reasoning, select a reason code (double-signing, downtime, malicious, protocol violation, or governance violation), and optionally specify a slashing window in blocks. Check "Approve token spending" to handle approvals automatically, "Force execution" to bypass checks, or "Remove delegate after slashing" to also remove the delegate from the validator set. Click "Fetch delegate state" to view staked amount, slashing eligibility, current slashing percentage, slashing amount, slashing status, history count, appeal status, execution delay, and slashing history. Review the displayed state and history carefully—slashing penalizes delegates and reduces their staked amounts. Click "Execute slashing" to submit the slashing transaction. Transaction status, gas costs, and confirmation are displayed upon completion.

MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE: COMPREHENSIVE DELEGATE STATE AGGREGATION WITH SLASHING HISTORY DISCOVERY

Unlike hardcoded slashing tools that only show current delegate status, this tool fetches nine different state variables in parallel using Promise.all with individual error boundaries, ensuring that a revert in one view function doesn't prevent retrieval of other critical metrics. The tool automatically discovers slashing history by iterating through history indices until it hits empty entries (capped at 10 for performance), displaying executor addresses, amounts, reasons, and status for full transparency before executing a new slashing. The tool dynamically selects the appropriate slashing method based on user input—slashDelegate with evidence, executeSlashing with window, applySlashing with remove option, and penalizeDelegate with force option. Gas estimation factors in slashing method complexity, and the tool uses receipt.effectiveGasPrice post-transaction for accurate cost reporting rather than relying on the pre-EIP-1559 gasPrice cap. Slashing amounts are calculated from percentages and displayed with staked amounts for informed decision-making.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that the staking contract or slashing contract is legitimate or has not been compromised. It cannot detect if the slashing parameters have been manipulated or if the contracts have been upgraded or modified. Slashing may not execute at optimal gas price due to network conditions or succeed if the contract is paused or frozen. The tool cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs or insufficient approval. It cannot verify that the slashing evidence is valid, predict gas prices during congestion, or detect if the slashing has been front-run. The tool cannot ensure that the slashing will be upheld, verify off-chain misbehavior evidence, or provide legal or governance advice. It cannot guarantee that the slashing amount is correct, verify the validity of the misbehavior claim, ensure that all delegates are treated fairly, or track slashing status outside of the tool. Slashing is a serious penalty that reduces delegate stakes—ensure evidence is valid before executing.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool operates on EVM-compatible chains only. It reads from and writes to staking and slashing contracts but provides no legal or governance advice. All slashing decisions remain your responsibility—incorrect slashing may be appealed or reversed. Always verify contract addresses, delegate addresses, and slashing parameters before submitting transactions. The tool displays current state but does not automatically slash—you must review and confirm each transaction through your wallet. Gas costs vary by network conditions; the tool estimates but cannot guarantee optimal pricing. Slashing amounts are calculated as a percentage of staked tokens—ensure the percentage is appropriate for the misbehavior. Understanding the specific slashing rules and appeal process for each protocol is essential before executing a slashing.
