About this app

WHAT IT DOES

DEX Front-Run Protection Toggle is a simple yet powerful tool that provides one-click front-running protection for your DEX swaps. When you're on a supported DEX (Uniswap, SushiSwap, 1inch, Curve, or Balancer) with a configured swap, the tool displays a toggle switch that enables or disables front-run protection mechanisms. When protection is enabled, it automatically adjusts your transaction parameters to mitigate front-running risk: increasing gas price to outbid front-runners, adding a small delay buffer to avoid predictable transaction ordering, using a private relay (Flashbots or similar) when available, and applying anti-front-run slippage limits. The panel shows the protection status (On/Off), current protection settings, estimated protection cost, and risk reduction percentage. A "Protect This Swap" quick-action button temporarily applies protection to your current swap. All protection usage history is tracked for performance review.

WHERE IT RUNS

This overlay operates on major DEX platforms including Uniswap (app.uniswap.org, uniswap.org), SushiSwap (sushi.com), 1inch (1inch.io), Curve (curve.fi), and Balancer (balancer.fi). It works in any browser that supports the BotGentz extension framework and has an EVM-compatible wallet extension installed. The panel activates automatically when you're on a supported DEX page with a trading pair selected.

HOW TO USE

Install the extension and connect your wallet. Navigate to any supported DEX and configure a swap—select your token pair and enter a trade amount. The tool automatically detects the token pair and trade amount from the page. Toggle the "Enable Front-Run Protection" switch to activate protection on your swap. When enabled, the tool adjusts your transaction parameters to reduce front-running risk. The panel displays the protection status, gas multiplier, private relay setting, anti-front-run slippage, estimated risk reduction, and protection cost. Use the "Protect This Swap" button for quick one-click protection. Configure your settings: set the gas price multiplier (default 1.2x), choose a private relay provider (Flashbots, Private Relay, or None), set anti-front-run slippage (default 0.5%), and toggle notifications. The "Copy Report" button exports a summary of your protection settings and history. The tool tracks all protection events for performance analysis.

MECHANISM: FRONT-RUN PROTECTION ENGINE WITH MULTI-LAYER DEFENSE STRATEGIES

The extension implements a multi-layer front-run protection engine that applies several defense strategies when toggled on. First, it adjusts the gas price by applying a configurable multiplier (default 1.2x) to the current gas price, making it more expensive for front-runners to outbid the user's transaction. Second, it applies a small delay buffer to the transaction submission timing, making the transaction harder to predict for MEV bots scanning the mempool. Third, it recommends using a private relay (Flashbots) that bypasses the public mempool, preventing front-runners from seeing the transaction before it is included in a block. Fourth, it applies anti-front-run slippage limits that tighten the slippage tolerance, reducing the profit window for sandwich attackers. The protection cost calculation estimates the additional gas cost from the gas multiplier, displayed in ETH for user awareness. The risk reduction percentage is calculated based on the combination of protection layers enabled, providing a visual indicator of protection effectiveness. The tool reads the current gas price via eth_gasPrice and calculates the recommended gas price using the multiplier. All protection settings and usage history are stored locally using GM_setValue, allowing the tool to maintain state across page refreshes and sessions.

THE PANEL

The overlay panel is fully draggable via its title bar and remembers its position per-site using GM_setValue. It snaps to the nearest edge when dragged within 40px of any screen boundary. The panel includes clear sections for front-run protection (DEX name, chain, wallet address, gas price, token pair, trade amount), protection status (status indicator with color coding, gas multiplier, private relay, anti-front-run slippage, risk reduction percentage, protection cost), controls (toggle switch, Protect This Swap button), settings (gas multiplier input, relay selector, slippage input, notification toggle), history (recent protection events with status, gas multiplier, and timestamps), and action buttons (Refresh, Save Settings, Copy Report, Clear History). The protection status is prominently displayed with color coding—green for On, gray for Off. The risk reduction percentage shows the estimated protection effectiveness. Pressing Escape temporarily dismisses the panel until you navigate to a new DEX page or manually reactivate.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz framework extension to be installed and active. You must also have a real EVM-compatible wallet extension (such as MetaMask, WalletConnect, Coinbase Wallet, or Rabby) already installed in your browser—the overlay uses your wallet's RPC provider for eth_gasPrice queries and transaction context. This tool is read-only—it does not send transactions; it only provides protection suggestions and parameter adjustments. The tool cannot guarantee 100% protection from front-running; depends on private relay availability which may be rate-limited or unavailable; cannot prevent front-running that uses private mempool or block-building strategies; does not support non-EVM chains where private relays are not available; cannot protect against sandwich attacks that are already in progress; depends on accurate gas price estimation which may vary; cannot prevent front-running by validators with block-building privileges; and does not support chains where Flashbots or similar relays are not deployed. No private keys, wallet balances, browsing history, or trade data are ever collected, transmitted, or stored outside your local browser—all data is stored locally using GM_setValue. This tool provides protection recommendations only—it cannot guarantee transaction safety. Always verify your transaction details before confirming.
