About this app

WHAT IT DOES

EIP-6963 Multi-Wallet Detector is a wallet discovery tool that detects and displays all EIP-6963-compliant wallet providers available in your browser. It listens for wallet announcements via the EIP-6963 event interface, reading provider names, icons, RDNS identifiers, and active status. The tool displays detected wallets in a clean card-based interface with visual indicators showing which wallets are active and available for use. It provides real-time detection of wallet providers as they announce themselves, making it easy to see which wallets are installed and ready to connect.

HOW TO USE

Install the app through the BotSurf interface. Click Connect to link your wallet via the BGWallet bridge. Click "Scan for Wallets" to detect EIP-6963-compliant wallets. The tool listens for wallet announcements and displays each detected wallet with its name, icon, RDNS identifier, and active status badge. The results show which wallets are currently active and available for connection. The detection log records all discovered wallets with timestamps and status information.

EIP-6963 PROVIDER DISCOVERY ENGINE WITH RDNS IDENTIFICATION

The tool implements the EIP-6963 provider discovery mechanism by listening for 'eip6963:announceProvider' events. When a wallet provider announces itself, it provides an object containing the provider interface, RDNS identifier, wallet name, and icon data. The engine captures these announcements and displays them in real-time. Each wallet is identified by its RDNS (Reverse DNS) name—a standardized identifier that ensures consistent recognition across different contexts. The engine tracks active status by monitoring the provider's availability and connection state. The tool also provides a clear visual distinction between active (green badge) and inactive (gray badge) wallets, making it easy to identify which wallets are ready to use.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

The tool cannot detect wallets that do not implement the EIP-6963 provider announcement standard. It relies on wallet providers being injected into the page context and actively announcing themselves; if a wallet is installed but does not announce via EIP-6963, it will not be detected. The tool cannot force wallets to announce themselves or install wallets that are not already present. It is limited to wallets that are currently active and available; wallets that are installed but not running may not be detected. The tool cannot interact with wallets or initiate connections without user consent. In non-EVM contexts (Solana, Bitcoin, Cosmos, etc.), the tool will not detect wallets as EIP-6963 is specific to EVM environments.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the BotSurf interface and is designed for EVM-compatible environments. EIP-6963 support depends on wallet implementations—not all wallets support this standard yet. The tool is read-only and does not sign transactions or modify wallet state. Detection results reflect wallet providers that have announced themselves at the time of scanning; some wallets may announce with a delay. The tool does not store or transmit any detection data; all state is local to your session.
