WHAT IT DOES

AI-powered email subject line suggester that creates clear, compelling subject lines from email content and context. The script reads email content, subject, or context from the current page—draft email text, recipient context, and purpose—and generates a set of suggested subject lines. The AI produces a list of well-crafted subject lines that match the email's tone and purpose, helping improve open rates and message clarity. You can customize the suggestion count (3/5/7), tone (professional/friendly/compelling/concise), and toggle inclusion of emojis, urgency, and personalization. The user reviews the output before copying or using it.

WHERE IT RUNS

Works on all email composition pages (match pattern *://*/*), including webmail clients (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo), email marketing platforms, contact forms, and any page containing email content.

HOW TO USE

Install the script and navigate to any email composition page. The Email Subject Line Suggester appears in the panel. Configure your preferred suggestion count, tone, and toggle inclusion of emojis, urgency, and personalization using the settings controls. Click "Suggest" to analyze the current page. The AI extracts email content and generates subject line suggestions. Review the output in the panel. Click "Copy to Clipboard" to copy the subject lines for use in your email. Adjust the settings and regenerate if you want a different tone or number of suggestions.

REAL MECHANISM: DOM CONTENT EXTRACTION WITH AI SUBJECT LINE GENERATION AND REVIEW GATE

This script uses a hybrid extraction approach that prioritizes structured content when available. First, it checks for WebMCP (navigator.modelContext), a W3C proposal that exposes structured tools on the page. If available, it calls getContent() to obtain structured email data. If WebMCP is not present—the common case today—it falls back to DOM scraping using targeted selectors for email sections (email-content, email-body, draft-text, message-body, compose-content, email-text, content-area, subject-line, and email-subject). It also scans for email keywords (dear, hi, hello, email, message, send, regarding, about, please, thank) in paragraphs, divs, and textareas. The extracted text is sent to an AI backend via GM_xmlhttpRequest, which processes it with a system prompt that includes the user's suggestion count, tone preference, and inclusion preferences. The AI returns a list of suggested subject lines (3-7 options, up to 150 words total) that are clear and compelling. The response is displayed in a bordered container for review before copying. Copy-to-clipboard uses GM_setClipboard. All settings (suggestionCount, tone, includeEmojis, includeUrgency, includePersonalization) are persisted via GM_setValue. The script enforces a review-before-use pattern: the user must read and approve the AI output before copying it.

THE PANEL

Drag the panel anywhere on screen by clicking and holding the header. It snaps to screen edges when released. Collapse it to a small bubble by clicking the minimize button, and expand it back by clicking the bubble. Resize the panel from any corner. Press Escape to close the configuration panel. Your position and size preferences are saved automatically per site.

This script requires the free BotGentz browser extension and an active AI subscription for the suggestion service. AI-generated subject lines should be reviewed for appropriateness before use—the AI may generate suggestions that don't match your intended tone. The script reads the current page content and sends it to the AI backend for processing; no data is stored or logged. Websites change frequently; if the script stops detecting email content, check for updates to the extraction selectors.
