WHAT IT DOES

Escrow Arbitrator Assignment Tool is a specialized Developer Tools application that manages arbitrator assignments for escrow contracts. It reads the escrow contract state, arbitrator registry state, and user authorization status to enable secure assignment of neutral arbitrators. The tool fetches the current arbitrator assignment, arbitrator availability, assignment eligibility, escrow parties, dispute status, arbitration fee, timelock state, and resolution deadline. It reads the arbitrator's reputation score from the registry and tracks assignment history. The tool supports three key actions: assigning an arbitrator to an escrow, removing an existing arbitrator, and confirming an arbitrator assignment. It reads chain ID, gas price, nonce state, and assignment confirmation status to ensure transactions are submitted with correct parameters. The tool displays the arbitrator's reputation score and assignment history to help parties make informed decisions.

HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet and select your network from the dropdown. Paste the escrow contract address and the arbitrator registry address. Click "Read Assignment Status" to fetch the current assignment and dispute state. The tool displays the current arbitrator, availability, eligibility, escrow parties, dispute status, arbitration fee, resolution deadline, reputation score, confirmation status, and assignment history. To assign a new arbitrator, enter the arbitrator's address and click "Assign Arbitrator". To remove the current arbitrator, click "Remove Arbitrator". After assignment, click "Confirm Assignment" to finalize the arbitrator selection. The action preview shows the current assignment, new arbitrator, action type, and authorization status. All actions are submitted as on-chain transactions with appropriate gas parameters.

ARBITRATOR ASSIGNMENT AND REPUTATION VERIFICATION ENGINE

The tool implements a comprehensive assignment engine that reads arbitrator reputation scores and assignment eligibility before enabling actions. It reads the currentArbitrator from the escrow contract to display the assigned party, then queries the arbitrator registry for reputation scores using the arbitratorReputation function. The tool checks assignmentEligibility for the calling user to verify they have authorization to assign or remove arbitrators. It reads the escrowParties to identify the buyer and seller involved, and disputeStatus to determine if arbitration has been triggered. The tool also reads the arbitrationFee to display the cost of arbitration services and the resolutionDeadline to show the time window for resolution. For assignment, the tool calls assignArbitrator on the escrow contract with the selected arbitrator's address—this transaction is only accepted if the caller is authorized. For removal, it calls removeArbitrator, which clears the current assignment. For confirmation, it calls confirmAssignment, which finalizes the assignment and updates the confirmation status. The tool reads assignmentHistory to display previous arbitrators assigned to this escrow, providing context for reputation evaluation. Gas estimation is performed using the provider's fee data, and the tool validates that the user has sufficient balance for the arbitration fee and gas costs before submission.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that the assigned arbitrator is impartial, trustworthy, or free from conflicts of interest. It cannot detect if the arbitrator has off-chain relationships with escrow parties. It cannot guarantee that the arbitrator will resolve the dispute fairly or in a timely manner. It cannot recover funds if the arbitrator acts maliciously or colludes with a party. It cannot verify the arbitrator's reputation beyond what is stored on-chain. It cannot provide legal advice or guarantee legal outcomes. It cannot ensure that the arbitrator will respond within the resolution deadline. It cannot detect if the arbitrator has been compromised off-chain or coerced. It cannot predict the outcome of the dispute. It cannot verify off-chain arbitration agreements or legal terms. It cannot guarantee that the assignment transaction will succeed due to network conditions.

This tool supports EVM-compatible chains only. It requires an active RPC connection and a wallet with signing capabilities. The tool does not custodial funds or private keys. Always verify arbitrator reputation and assignment details before confirming. Assignment changes may require approval from both escrow parties.
