About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Experian Web Dispute Status Tracker automatically scans Experian dispute status pages to extract comprehensive dispute data including dispute ID, creditor name, account number, dispute reason, current status, submission date, estimated resolution date, and current step. The tool displays a floating overlay panel showing a summary of all active disputes with color-coded status indicators—yellow for pending, blue for active, green for resolved, and gray for closed. Disputes that have been resolved or need attention are highlighted for easy identification. A timeline of dispute progress shows the status of each dispute with color-coded steps. Progress bars indicate how far along each dispute is in the resolution process. Summary statistics show total disputes, active disputes, and resolved disputes. This provides a complete, organized view of all your Experian dispute statuses.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension operates exclusively on experian.com domain pages that contain dispute status content—specifically pages with "/dispute", "/credit", or "/report" in the URL path, or pages that display dispute tracking and status information. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The dispute status tracker runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All dispute data extraction, status analysis, and tracking preferences are processed and stored on your machine, ensuring your dispute data and tracking activity remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.

HOW TO USE

After installing both BotGentz and this dispute tracker, navigate to any Experian dispute status page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying a summary with total disputes, active disputes, and resolved disputes. The "Disputes" section lists each dispute with the creditor name, status badge (color-coded), dispute reason, dispute ID, submission date, and estimated resolution date. Each dispute includes a progress bar showing how far along it is in the resolution process. The "Timeline" section shows the chronological status of your disputes. The panel provides a complete overview of your dispute progress and helps you track when each dispute is resolved.

DISPUTE DATA EXTRACTION AND STATUS TRACKING

The dispute status tracker uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse dispute data from Experian pages. It first attempts to find structured dispute elements using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including "dispute-item," "dispute-card," "status-item," and "dispute-entry." When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for dispute-related patterns using pattern matching for terms like "dispute ID," "creditor," "account number," "status," "submitted," and "estimated resolution." Dispute status is classified through keyword detection for "Pending," "Active," "In Progress," "Resolved," "Completed," "Closed," and "Dismissed," with color-coded indicators applied accordingly. Submission dates and estimated resolution dates are extracted through pattern matching for date formats. Current steps are extracted through pattern matching for "step," "stage," or "status" labels. Progress bars are calculated based on the current step relative to a standard workflow.

THE PANEL

The dispute status tracker panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the Experian dispute page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you track your disputes. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and dispute tracking preferences are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the dispute status tracker does not work standalone. Experian occasionally updates its page layouts and dispute presentation formats, which may temporarily affect dispute data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts dispute data from the visible page content; if dispute status information is loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. Status indicators and progress bars are based on extracted data and are provided for informational purposes—always verify your actual dispute status on the official Experian platform. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all dispute data extraction, status analysis, progress tracking, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser. This tool is designed for personal dispute tracking and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Experian or its parent company. Credit disputes are serious matters; always consult the official Experian website and qualified financial advisors for authoritative credit information and dispute resolution guidance.
