About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Fabric Peer Manager gives you complete visibility into the operational state of Hyperledger Fabric peers. It reads and displays peer status showing connected, disconnected, or error states, peer identity with MSP information, peer organization membership, peer endpoints for connectivity, peer channel membership listing all joined channels, peer ledger height tracking the current block height, peer block height for synchronization status, peer transaction count for activity metrics, peer chaincode list showing all installed chaincodes, peer installed chaincodes for package management, peer committed chaincodes for active chaincodes on channels, peer approval status for chaincode approvals, peer commit status for chaincode commits, peer gossip status indicating gossip protocol health, peer discovery results for service discovery, peer service definitions for peer services, peer TLS certificates for security verification, peer administrative status for admin operations, peer join status indicating channel membership, peer participation status for consensus participation, channel membership list for multi-channel support, organization MSP information for identity management, peer resource usage for CPU and memory metrics, peer uptime metrics for availability, and peer connectivity status for network health. All data is organized in a clean dashboard with peer status indicators, organization information, channel lists, and detailed performance metrics.

HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet to the tool and select the network where your Fabric peer is deployed. Enter the peer endpoint, organization name, and peer identity (MSP ID) in the input fields. Click "Manage Peer" to connect to the peer and retrieve its operational state. The tool will establish a connection to the peer and query its status, channel membership, ledger height, chaincode list, and various health metrics. Results are displayed in organized cards showing peer identity, organization, ledger height, transaction count, channel membership, installed and committed chaincodes, gossip status, join status, uptime, and resource usage. The tool works with any Hyperledger Fabric peer that exposes standard administrative and discovery services.

THE MECHANISM

Fabric Peer Manager performs client-side simulation of Fabric peer management by aggregating peer state information from various sources. The tool establishes a logical connection to the peer endpoint and queries its administrative services to retrieve peer status and identity information. It then queries channel membership to list all channels the peer has joined, and for each channel retrieves the current ledger height. Chaincode information is gathered by querying the peer's chaincode lifecycle services to list installed and committed chaincodes. Gossip status is determined by checking the peer's communication with other peers in the network. Join status is verified by checking the peer's participation in each channel. The tool simulates the process of connecting to a peer, authenticating using the provided MSP identity, and querying various administrative services. Resource usage is estimated based on peer activity metrics such as transaction processing and block validation. Uptime is tracked from the peer's start time and current availability.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

Fabric Peer Manager cannot verify that the peer is actually validating transactions correctly without running a full node and monitoring its validation process. The tool cannot detect if the peer is compromised or running malicious software, as that requires deeper security analysis. It cannot verify that the peer's TLS certificates are valid and properly configured without performing certificate validation. The tool cannot detect network-level attacks targeting the peer, as those require network monitoring. It cannot prove that the peer's ledger state matches the network consensus without comparing with other peers. The tool cannot guarantee that the peer will remain available or responsive, as network conditions may change.

PLEASE NOTE

Fabric Peer Manager supports EVM-compatible chains only. The tool is a client-side management tool and does not execute or deploy code to any blockchain. Peer management results are for operational monitoring and diagnostics. The tool is free to use and does not store or transmit any peer data off-device. Always verify peer configurations and certificates before relying on management results.
