About this app

WHAT IT DOES This userscript transforms your Freelancer.com project bid list into a smart comparison dashboard. It reads bid entries from the page—extracting bid amounts, bidder names, ratings, delivery times, and statuses—and calculates the average bid amount, lowest bid, and highest bid for the project. A color-coded overlay appears on every bid: green for below-average bids (good value), yellow for average bids, and red for above-average bids. Each badge shows the bid amount, a value indicator, and optionally the bidder's rating and delivery time. The lowest bid is highlighted with a star. A summary panel shows the bid range, average bid, and a recommended bid range (85-115% of average). A one-click button opens the bidder's profile. This is invaluable for project owners, hiring managers, and procurement professionals who need to evaluate bids, identify the best value, and make informed hiring decisions. WHERE IT RUNS The script runs on all Freelancer.com web application pages at *.freelancer.com/*, with automatic detection of project bid lists, proposal pages, and any page displaying bid entries. It works across all Freelancer.com interfaces by using multiple selector strategies to find bid items, amounts, bidder names, ratings, and delivery times. The script detects dynamic content loading and re-applies the bid comparison overlay when the bid list updates. It runs across the entire Freelancer.com domain, ensuring coverage whether you're viewing a project's bid list, a filtered proposal view, or a bid comparison page. HOW TO USE Install the script via the BotGentz extension and navigate to any Freelancer.com project bid list. The bid comparison overlay will appear automatically on every bid. Each bid displays a badge with the bid amount and value indicator (Below Average, Average, or Above Average) with a color-coded background. The lowest bid is marked with a star. Optionally, bidder ratings and delivery times are shown on badges. The summary panel shows the number of bids, average bid, lowest bid, highest bid, bid range, and a recommended bid range. Click the ↗ button next to any bid to open the bidder's profile in a new tab. Use the panel controls to customize your experience: toggle the bid comparison overlay on or off, show or hide bidder ratings, enable or disable delivery time display, show or hide the summary panel, or highlight the lowest bid. The "Refresh" button manually rescans the page for updated bid data, and the "Copy summary" button exports the bid summary to your clipboard. THE MECHANISM - BID EXTRACTION, STATISTICAL ANALYSIS, AND VALUE CATEGORIZATION This script identifies bid data by scanning each bid item using a cascading selector strategy. It extracts bid amounts from amount elements, bidder names from name elements, ratings from rating or star elements, delivery times from delivery elements, and statuses from status elements. The average bid is calculated by summing all bid amounts and dividing by the count. Each bid's amount is compared to the average to determine its value category: below average (115% of average). The lowest bid is marked with a star indicator. The badge is created as a DOM element with inline styles and inserted into the bid amount cell. The summary panel displays key statistics and a recommended bid range based on the average. The bidder profile link is extracted from profile anchor elements and opened with GM_openInTab. THE PANEL The control panel appears as a floating, draggable element that you can position anywhere on the Freelancer.com page. Drag by the header to reposition it, and the position is saved per site using GM_setValue so it stays where you left it across sessions. Release the panel near any edge and it snaps into place, keeping your workspace organized. Click the panel header to collapse it into a small bubble showing only the chart emoji (📊), minimizing distraction while keeping controls accessible. Drag from the bubble to restore the full panel. The panel automatically resizes to fit its content and includes all setting toggles, action buttons, and a bid legend. Press the Escape key to quickly collapse the panel to its minimized state. The panel remains visible across page navigation within Freelancer.com, with the bid comparison overlay updating automatically as you move between project views. PLEASE NOTE This script requires the free BotGentz extension to function. It is designed for Freelancer.com users who need to evaluate and compare project bids. The script reads only visible bid data from the DOM—it does not access Freelancer.com's API, your account credentials, or any sensitive information. All settings (overlay visibility, ratings toggle, delivery toggle, summary toggle, highlight toggle, and panel position) are stored locally using GM_setValue and never leave your browser. The script does not modify your Freelancer.com data—it only reads and visualizes visible bid information. The recommended bid range is calculated as 85-115% of the average bid and is provided as a general guideline, not a definitive recommendation. If Freelancer.com updates its website structure, the script may need to be updated to match new selectors. The lowest bid highlight is based on the minimum bid amount among visible bids.
