About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Freshdesk Ticket Exporter scans Freshdesk pages for ticket tables—ticket views, dashboard views, group views—and exports the visible ticket data to CSV format. It extracts column headers and row data including ticket IDs, subjects, statuses, priorities, assignees, requester names, company names, created dates, updated dates, and custom fields shown in the current view. The tool handles Freshdesk's standard table structure, identifies dynamic content, and generates a clean, downloadable CSV file. You can choose to include headers, trim whitespace from cell content, and select your preferred delimiter (comma, semicolon, or any custom character).
WHERE IT RUNS
This tool runs as a userscript inside the BotGentz extension on any Freshdesk domain (*.freshdesk.com). All processing happens locally in your browser—no data is sent to external servers. It works on Freshdesk's ticket views, dashboard views, group views, and custom ticket table views.
HOW TO USE
Navigate to any Freshdesk page that contains a ticket list—the main ticket view, a dashboard, a group view, or a custom view. Open the panel and click "Refresh Table List" to detect all ticket tables on the page. Select the table you want to export from the dropdown. Click "Export CSV" to download the file, or "Copy CSV" to copy the data directly to your clipboard. Use the settings to customize your export: toggle headers, trim whitespace, or change the delimiter. The tool will remember your preferences across sessions.
TECHNICAL MECHANISM
The tool uses a multi-selector approach to identify Freshdesk ticket tables. It targets Freshdesk-specific table attributes like data-testid="ticket-table" and ticket-table classes, along with common Freshdesk table classes and role="grid" tables. It also detects tables containing ticket-related keywords in their text content (ticket, subject, status, priority, assignee, requester, company, freshdesk). Once a table is found, the tool extracts headers from thead or th elements and rows from tbody or tr elements. It sanitizes cell content by removing hidden characters and special formatting that often appear in Freshdesk tables, ensuring clean CSV output. The CSV generation escapes special characters, wraps fields in quotes when needed, and adds a UTF-8 BOM for Excel compatibility.
THE PANEL
The panel can be dragged anywhere on screen, snapped to the edge, resized, collapsed, and closed with Escape. It remembers its position per site and stays out of your way until you need it.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool requires the free BotGentz extension to run. It exports the current visible ticket list only; Freshdesk loads tickets dynamically as you scroll, so not all tickets may be captured without scrolling. Freshdesk's table structures vary across versions and custom orgs. Sites change frequently; if the tool stops working on a particular page, it may need updating. All processing is local—no data is collected or transmitted.
