WHAT IT DOES

Gas Token Auto-Bridge Reminder is an essential cross-chain gas management tool that monitors your native gas token balances across multiple EVM chains and reminds you to bridge tokens when you're running low. When you're about to execute a transaction on any chain, the tool automatically detects your current chain and checks your wallet's gas token balance for that chain. If the balance falls below a configurable threshold, the panel displays a prominent warning showing your current balance, the threshold, and a breakdown of your gas token balances across all supported chains (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche, and BNB Chain). The tool identifies which chains you have surplus gas tokens on and provides a one-click bridge suggestion to move gas tokens from a surplus chain to the deficit chain via supported bridge protocols including Across, Hop, and Stargate. The panel shows estimated bridge fees, time estimates, and includes a "Bridge Now" button that opens the bridge interface with pre-filled parameters. It also provides a quick buy option via integrated fiat on-ramp for users with no surplus tokens. Notifications are sent when any chain's gas balance falls below the threshold, ensuring you never get stuck without gas for transactions.

WHERE IT RUNS

This overlay operates on any website (matching all URLs) across the entire web. It works in any browser that supports the BotGentz extension framework and has an EVM-compatible wallet extension installed. The panel automatically activates on every page, monitoring gas token balances and detecting when you're on a chain with insufficient funds.

HOW TO USE

Install the extension and connect your wallet. The tool automatically detects your current chain and checks your gas token balance against the configured threshold. If your balance is low, the panel displays a warning with the current balance, threshold, and a breakdown of balances across all supported chains. Review the chain balances to identify surplus gas tokens on other chains. Click "Bridge Now" to open your preferred bridge protocol with the suggested amount and chain pairing pre-filled—select from Across, Hop, or Stargate in settings. If you have no surplus tokens, use the "Buy [Token] with Fiat" button to purchase gas tokens directly. Configure your settings including the minimum balance threshold per chain (default 0.01 ETH equivalent), preferred bridge protocol, bridge slippage tolerance, auto-bridge toggle, and notification toggle. Use the "Refresh Balances" button to manually update all balances, "Copy Report" to export a summary, and "Save Settings" to apply your preferences.

MECHANISM: CROSS-CHAIN GAS BALANCE MONITORING WITH BRIDGE SUGGESTION ENGINE

The extension implements a multi-chain gas balance monitoring system that uses eth_getBalance calls via RPC endpoints to query native token balances across all supported EVM chains. Each chain's balance is tracked against a user-configurable threshold (default 0.01 ETH equivalent), with the threshold adjustable per chain. When the current chain's balance falls below the threshold, the suggestion engine scans all other supported chains for surplus balances above their thresholds, ranking them by surplus amount to identify the best source chain for a bridge. The bridge suggestion includes amount calculation (typically 30-50% of the surplus balance, capped at a reasonable amount to avoid over-bridging), fee estimation using protocol-specific fee structures (base fee + variable percentage), and time estimation based on typical bridge confirmation times (5-15 minutes). The tool pre-fills bridge URLs with the source chain, destination chain, and suggested amount parameters for supported protocols (Across, Hop, Stargate). The fiat on-ramp integration uses Ramp Network's URL structure with the destination token and wallet address pre-filled for quick purchases. All balance data is stored locally using GM_setValue, with automatic balance updates triggered on page navigation or manual refresh. The notification system uses GM_notification with a cooldown to prevent duplicate alerts.

THE PANEL

The overlay panel is fully draggable via its title bar and remembers its position per-site using GM_setValue. It snaps to the nearest edge when dragged within 40px of any screen boundary. The panel includes clear sections for gas token monitor (domain, wallet address, current chain with balance and status indicator, total gas token value in USD), chain balances (list of all supported chains with balances and status indicators), low gas warning (when applicable, shows deficit and surplus chain with bridge suggestion, fee estimate, time estimate, and action buttons), settings (threshold input per chain, bridge protocol selector, slippage input, auto-bridge toggle, notification toggle), and action buttons (Refresh Balances, Save Settings, Copy Report). The chain balances section color-codes each chain—green for above threshold, yellow for approaching threshold, red for below threshold. Pressing Escape temporarily dismisses the panel until you navigate to a new page or manually reactivate.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz framework extension to be installed and active. You must also have a real EVM-compatible wallet extension (such as MetaMask, WalletConnect, Coinbase Wallet, or Rabby) already installed in your browser—the overlay uses your wallet's RPC provider for eth_getBalance calls and chain detection. This tool is read-only—it does not send transactions or bridge tokens directly; it provides bridge suggestions and opens bridge interfaces for you to complete the transaction. The tool cannot automatically bridge gas tokens without user confirmation and transaction signing; depends on bridge protocol APIs which may be rate-limited or unavailable; cannot detect gas token balances for chains not supported by the tool; does not support non-EVM chains where gas tokens are denominated differently; cannot predict bridge gas costs or time estimates with complete accuracy; depends on price oracles that may be rate-limited or unavailable; cannot bridge gas tokens if the user has zero balance on any chain (requires fiat on-ramp); and does not support all bridge protocols or all chain pairs. No private keys, wallet balances, browsing history, or transaction data are ever collected, transmitted, or stored outside your local browser—all data is stored locally using GM_setValue. Bridge suggestions are estimates only—always verify the bridge parameters and fees before confirming any transaction.
