About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Gas Token Redemption Tool is a DeFi-focused tool that enables users to redeem gas tokens for native currency from redemption contracts. Unlike standard token swaps that require market orders, this tool handles direct redemption of gas tokens at a fixed or dynamic contract rate. It reads gas token balances, verifies redemption rates, checks claim eligibility, tracks user redemption history, monitors contract gas token reserves, and validates redemption deadlines. The tool supports Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, BNB Chain, and Base, providing a unified interface to check and claim gas token redemptions across multiple networks. This is essential for users participating in gas token programs, refund campaigns, and projects that issue redeemable gas tokens for transaction fee rebates.

HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet using WalletConnect or a compatible browser extension. Ensure your wallet is on the network where the redemption contract is deployed. Enter the redemption contract address and the gas token address—these are the contracts you are interacting with, and you are vouching for their safety. Enter the amount of gas tokens you want to redeem. Click "Check redemption eligibility" to verify your balance, the current redemption rate, contract reserve, deadline status, and whether you have already redeemed. If your redemption is eligible and the contract has sufficient reserve, the "Redeem gas tokens" button appears. The tool will automatically handle the approval step if needed. Click it to submit the redemption transaction. The tool displays the amount of native currency you will receive, a transaction link to your chain's block explorer, and logs the final gas cost using receipt.effectiveGasPrice.

ADAPTIVE REDEMPTION VALIDATION AND APPROVAL ENGINE

The core technical mechanism that distinguishes this tool is its adaptive redemption validation and approval engine. Unlike simple redemption buttons that assume all conditions are met, this tool performs a comprehensive validation pipeline before allowing a redemption. The engine first reads the user's gas token balance using ERC-20 balanceOf(address), ensuring the user has sufficient tokens. It then retrieves the redemption rate from the contract via redemptionRate(), calculating the exact native value the user will receive. The engine validates the contract's reserve using contractReserve() to confirm sufficient funds are available to fulfill the redemption. It checks the user's redemption history with hasRedeemed(address) to prevent duplicate redemptions, and verifies the redemption deadline using redemptionDeadline() against the current block timestamp. If the user has not yet approved the redemption contract to spend their gas tokens, the engine automatically detects this via allowance(address, address) and guides the user through the approval process before submitting the redemption transaction. All RPC calls are wrapped with timeout and retry logic, and the tool automatically falls back to a secondary provider if the primary endpoint fails or rate-limits, ensuring the validation completes even during network congestion.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

The tool cannot guarantee that gas tokens will be redeemable if the contract's reserve is insufficient, the redemption deadline has passed, the user's token balance does not meet the redemption criteria, or the redemption parameters are changed by the contract owner after the user acquired the gas tokens. It has no visibility into the redemption contract's internal accounting or reserve management beyond the values reported by the contract. The tool cannot predict if the contract reserve will change between checking and redemption. It does not monitor redemptions after completion—it is a redemption tool, not a tracking service. The tool cannot interact with non-EVM chains, private networks, or redemption contracts that do not implement the standard redemption interface it expects.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool is designed exclusively for EVM-compatible blockchain networks. It supports Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Base, and similar chains. Non-EVM networks such as Solana, Cosmos, or Bitcoin are not supported. Always verify the redemption contract address and gas token address before redeeming—the tool does not validate contract safety or redemption terms beyond basic verification. The tool provides estimates only—actual native value received and gas costs are determined at the time of transaction execution. Users are responsible for understanding redemption risks, including the possibility that the contract owner may change parameters before the user redeems.
