WHAT IT DOES

Glassnode On-Chain Metric provides comprehensive read-only access to Glassnode's blockchain intelligence platform. Retrieve network activity metrics including active addresses, daily transactions, transaction volume, average transaction value, network growth, hash rate, and mining difficulty. Access exchange flow data including net flows, exchange balances, inflow and outflow amounts, exchange share, and top exchanges. Fetch supply metrics including circulating supply, total supply, max supply, inflation rate, realized capitalization, and market capitalization. View valuation metrics including market cap, realized cap, NVT ratio, NVT rank, realized price, and market price. Access MVRV (Market Value to Realized Value) ratios with z-scores, 30-day, 90-day, and 180-day averages, and realized price. Fetch SOPR (Spent Output Profit Ratio) metrics including current SOPR, adjusted SOPR, 7-day, 30-day, and 90-day averages, and signal interpretation. View risk metrics including reserve risk, stock-to-flow, stock-to-flow ratio, risk scores, market risk, and volatility. Access balance distribution metrics including whale share, top holder counts, concentration indices, Gini coefficient, and holder counts. This is an essential tool for analysts, traders, and researchers who need to evaluate network health and market conditions.

HOW TO USE

1. Connect your Web3 wallet (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, BSC, or any EVM-compatible chain).

2. Select the network that matches your target chain from the dropdown.

3. Enter an asset slug in the input field (e.g., "ethereum", "bitcoin").

4. Choose the metric type you want to fetch: network activity, exchange flows, supply metrics, valuation, MVRV ratio, SOPR, reserve risk, or balance distribution.

5. Click "fetch metrics" to retrieve the data from Glassnode's API.

6. Review the results displayed in a structured format showing key metrics with appropriate formatting.

7. Use the "copy JSON" button to export the complete data for further analysis or integration.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

Glassnode On-Chain Metric interacts with Glassnode's API endpoints to retrieve blockchain intelligence data. The tool constructs API requests using the provided asset slug and metric type, leveraging Glassnode's standardized data structures. For network activity, the tool queries endpoints that aggregate active addresses, transaction counts, and volume data from the blockchain. For exchange flows, it accesses endpoints that track exchange wallet balances and inflows/outflows. The tool parses the JSON responses and transforms them into a user-friendly display format, automatically detecting and formatting numeric values, percentages, and currency amounts. MVRV ratios are presented with z-scores and historical context. SOPR metrics include signal interpretation based on historical averages. Reserve risk combines stock-to-flow with other risk indicators. Balance distribution shows concentration metrics with Gini coefficient. The tool handles different response structures gracefully and provides clear feedback during the fetch operation. All data is normalized and presented consistently regardless of the asset or metric type.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool is a frontend for the Glassnode API — it does not validate data accuracy, verify completeness, or detect inconsistencies between Glassnode's data and actual network conditions. The tool cannot guarantee that data has been updated recently or that metrics reflect current network conditions. It cannot validate on-chain data aggregation methodology or ensure that all assets have complete metric coverage. The tool cannot detect if Glassnode's data sources have been compromised or if there are errors in the data aggregation algorithms. All data is presented as provided by Glassnode — if the API returns incomplete, outdated, or incorrect information, this tool will display it without warning. The tool cannot predict market movements or provide real-time data beyond Glassnode's update frequency. It cannot fetch data for assets not covered by Glassnode's platform or for non-EVM chains.

PLEASE NOTE

Glassnode On-Chain Metric supports EVM-compatible blockchains only (Ethereum Mainnet, Goerli, Polygon, Arbitrum One, Optimism, BNB Smart Chain, and others via network selection). The tool requires a Glassnode API key — in this implementation, it uses a simulated key for demonstration purposes. For production use, you must provide your own Glassnode API key. The tool never submits transactions or signs messages; it is strictly read-only. Data fetch performance depends on Glassnode's API response times and your network connection. Some assets may have limited metric coverage depending on Glassnode's data availability and the specific metric type requested.
