WHAT IT DOES

Governance Token Burn Vote Executor enables governance participants to vote on proposals to burn governance tokens, permanently removing them from circulation. The tool reads your connected wallet address, governance token balance, voting power, treasury contract address, burn proposal details, proposed burn amount, burn deadline, current block timestamp, quorum requirements, and historical voting records. It fetches and displays the proposed burn amount, burn deadline, and proposal status before you vote. This allows you to make an informed decision about whether to approve the token burn.

HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet and select your network. Enter the treasury contract address and the governance token address. Input the proposal ID you want to vote on, then choose your vote—For, Against, or Abstain. Click "Fetch proposal & burn details" to load the proposal including the burn amount, burn deadline, proposal status (Active/Ended/Executed), deadline, quorum requirement, and current vote counts. The tool also displays your voting power based on your governance token balance. Review all details carefully—the tool shows the burn context so you understand what you're voting on. Once reviewed, click "Cast vote" to submit your vote on-chain.

THE REAL MECHANISM — ON-CHAIN GOVERNANCE VOTING WITH BURN CONTEXT

Unlike generic voting interfaces that only submit a vote, this tool provides comprehensive burn context to support informed decision-making. It first fetches your voting power via balanceOf on the governance token contract. It then calls getBurnDetails to read the proposed burn amount and burn deadline. It calls getProposal to retrieve the full proposal struct containing the proposer, description, deadline, quorum, and vote tallies. All data is fetched in parallel using Promise.all to minimize latency. The vote submission uses the treasury contract's castVote function with the proposal ID and vote choice (0=Against, 1=For, 2=Abstain). The entire flow is atomic—if the proposal deadline has passed or quorum hasn't been met, the contract reverts and the tool reports the error. Gas costs are reported using receipt.effectiveGasPrice.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

Cannot predict burn impact on token price—the tool cannot model how the burn will affect the token's market price or supply dynamics. It cannot ensure optimal burn timing—the "optimal" timing depends on market conditions and token price movements. It cannot detect if the treasury contract contains vulnerabilities—the tool does not audit the contract logic. It cannot verify off-chain burn analysis—the tool has no visibility into any off-chain analysis or recommendations. It cannot predict how other governance participants will vote or whether the proposal will pass.

This tool exclusively supports EVM-compatible chains where ethers.js can connect via standard JSON-RPC. It does not support non-EVM chains such as Solana, Tron, Starknet, SUI, TON, Aptos, Bitcoin, Cosmos, or XRP. The treasury contract must implement the specific interface expected by this tool (getProposal, getBurnDetails, getVoterPower, castVote). Always review the proposal details thoroughly before voting.
